umm slight difference between Jade/Tim/Adele taking Sophie apart verbally and Kate doing an impression of Alex. In fact any of them that are any good at it have been doing it.

What excatly did Kate get away with? She was on her way out of the room to *show* Alex and Adele how she was dressed. It just happend Alex walked in at that point. If she had been trying to do it behind his back, she wouldn't have done it with him just a few feet away. She would have done what Alex and Adele do - make sure to be on other side of the house so no chance of being caught.
Adele laughed because it was funny - although I think she'll kick herself when she knows how Alex reacted. Kate's humour is done in front of the hm's not behind their backs, and that is what makes it acceptable. What is NOT acceptable is the way Alex. -who is usually the first to step up to the plate and voice his opinion in a loud, angry voice. had very little to say to Adele and Jade about the bullying of Sophie. Firstly, it raises the question, why is she tampering with his property in the first place? If she was going to show him anyway, why didn't she ask him, and tell him what her intentions were. It's because she knew he wouldn't want her doing that in the first place, so she resorted to doing it behind his back.

As for Adele laughing about it, it's as someone else said. She didn't know the circumstances of why she was wearing Alex's clothes. She probably thought Alex was in on the joke, not the butt of it.
