Nearly everywhere seems to be out of stock of these but QED have them in stock, a little more expensive than others. But I cannot find stock anywhere else. Does anybody know who has stock?

Dabs & Hughes are out of stock!

Link to qed 9200t

If anybody knows who else has them in stock please list them here as I know others are trying to find stock as well!

Thanks

I bought one at Comet yesterday (if you don't mind paying £229.99 that is) go into your local branch - give them the ref number (it's in the flyer at the front of the store) - they can then tell you which stores ' hopefully' local have them in stock

I think QED must have run out as well as they are currently stating "This HUMAX Freeview or Top-Up TV is currently only available for special order. Delivery time is usually within 14 working days" , also they are charging the full rrp and then postage on top.

Wow they (comet) don't half make stuff up - I've been told they would be getting stock on saturday 29th and then tuesday 1st!

Does anyone know where I can by the 9200 off the shelf in london?

Cheers

Have you tried going in to your local Comet or telephone them and asking them to check their stock computer if theirs any stock at other branches in london?
If theirs stock at another branch, they can even reserve it for you if you pay beforehand.

According to their call center there is no stock of 9200 in the whole country!

Whent to the one in romford and got them to stock check barking ... none in either. I was told I could get one on tuesday so I guess that's what I'll try.

Cheers

Comet will not let you down! They have improved customer services big time over the last year. When I ordered my 9200T,they even arranged for it to be delivered to another store who had warehouse deliveries before they did. Also phoned me three times giving me updates.

This looks like a subsidiary of Hughes Direct. I am intrigued at the £10 or thereabouts lower price!

I ordered mine from Hughes a week last Sunday, but I knew it was out of stock. Got a phone call on Thursday from them to arrange a delivery Monday, and sure enough 8.00 am it came. So far soo good.

Just ordered one from Comet 5 minutes ago, for delivery on Thursday, not the cheapest place i know but i can have a 7 day trial then take it back to my local store if i'm not happy with it for any reason and get a full refund.
Which after all the posts and issues etc I think is a good idea and the only way of seeing if it is the machine for me.

It is.

I don't know if the prices are different when you add carriage charges though.

My local Hughes shop said they are receiving stock this week so I guess that will apply to all their companies, dunno about quantities though.

Yes! Nipped into Comet (Dundee) on the way home from work tonight on the off-chance and got the last boxed one in stock. Within 15minutes of getting home (honestly) I had it set up, switched on, tuned in, EPG populated and set up to record 3 programmes. It's recording 'Holiday' as we speak. The only slight SNAFU was having to read the start-up guide to discover the on/off switch on the back panel (I thought it was DOA ... ).

I suppose I should read the manual now, but the interface seems very intuitive so far. I can't understand this EPG population issue, unless the main terrestrial channels load first. Mine seemed very quick, but I only wanted BBC1 and ITV (I'm dead if Corrie doesn't tape).

One slight curiosity. I tried PIP but get an error saying 'Not available while recording'. Surely not? Where's that manual ... ?

PIP is not available while recording.

Thanks, so I see. Given that the machine is capable of recording two channels and watch a third, I can't see why the firmware cannot support PIP for one of the channels on the multiplex which is being recorded.

Has anyone seen one actually on the shelf at a John Lewis store yet?

I know that their web site is saying 'out of stock' but I live in hope...

They don't even have a delivery date yet, although they are expecting them before Christmas! Frustrating as I want to take advantage of a staff discount (plus have a real shop in case a return is necessary)
