I've got a 30 day sim only contract with o2 at the moment.

Although the double minutes and texts are great, i'm not using them. Plus my phone is boring, so...

I quite fancy a new phone so I was just wondering, If I was to get a new 12 month contract with a phone, do they...


1. let me keep my old number and they just swap it to a 12 month contract straight away.

or 2. expect 30 days notice, then swap it to a 12 month contract.

or 3. seeing as it's a new contract, expect 30 days notice to cancel and have to get a totally new number?

just wondered if anyone else had done this?

Just phone them up and see what they offer.

They'd prefer to have you on 12/18 month.

but it will be hassle free, same number. You'll basically keep the same account, but the contract will change.
