I have their first ever TV performance on VHS - a performance on CD:UK. Back in the day when I would record anything my favourite bands/singers were on! 10 years! I feel old!

I do too

Mcfly added a special video for their 10th Birthday.
It's That Girl recorded at their Memory Lane Tour back in May

I've already got some champagne in ready for April 15th 2014, the 10th anniversary of 5 Colours in Her Hair becoming one of my favourite songs!

McBusted!!! The 13 year old in me was ridiculously excited to see those clips on Youtube! I could have got free tickets through work but stupidly declined as no-one would have come with me. Am regretting that decision now.

As some of you will know from other threads, I often decide my 20 fave songs of the year and 40 fave songs from the decade. In addition to "normal" decades, I like to do a "mid-decade" chart featuring my fave songs from late one decade and early the next. For example, I did a top 40 from August 1995 to July 2005. I time my mid-decade charts to coincide with a pivotal moment in my life from the previous decade.

So, where do McFly fit in here? Well, 5 Colours in Her Hair was among my top 40 of the 00s. I had earmarked the Spring Bank Holiday 2014 to decide my top 40 songs from May 2004 to April 2014. However, I am now looking at a top 40 from April 2004 to March 2014 next Easter Monday (April 21st). This would almost certainly result in 5 Colours in Her Hair reappearing here!

Love Is On The Radio reached #6 last week.

I have a horrible feeling we won't hear McFly's 6th album until 2015 at this rate! From what I've read over the last year, it's already been pushed back at least twice. I hope it'll be released before the McBusted tour, but if not, they'll probably be occupied with McBusted for most of 2014. I think I've learned to take what Tom says with a pinch of salt!

I can only name 2 MCFly songs from the top of my head!5 colours in her hair and their cover "it's all about you!" The only thing I appreciate this band is for introducing hunky Harry to the world and the hot near naked photo shoots he has done! Mmmm!

I was a huge fan when they first came out, didn't listen to them for a while and then saw them live locally in 2008. They're very good live. I've been listening to them a lot lately. Their music brings back a lot of good memories.

I thought All About You was an original....this would be the first that I'd heard of it being a cover.

These are the 2 McFly songs I like best and were their biggest-selling singles. I think with All About You having been a Children in Need song in 2005 it is easy to suppose it would have been a cover version. One cover version I know they did was of Queen's Don't Stop Me Now.

All About You wasn't a cover, Tom wrote it. The b-side to it was a cover of You've Got A Friend, perhaps that's what you're thinking of?

All About You was written by TOM and was for Comic Relief 2005. It was a double A side with You've got a friend though.

Their Biggest selling singles are:

All About You
Shine A Light
5 Colours
Star Girl
Obviously
Love Is Easy
Please,Please
I'll be Ok

and so on.....

It's not. Tom wrote it for GI back in 2004 and they got asked to do Comic Relief 2005. Comic relief heard some of Mcfly's Wondrland Album (which they were in the making of) and picked All About You as the single.

That sounds far more likely it's gotta be one of the only original comic relief songs. Most of them have been covers.

Yeah just Mcfly and The Spice Girls I think. All others have been covers.

Anyone slightly disappointed that we're getting a McBusted album before the long awaited Album 6?
As much as I loved McBusted at the Albert Hall, and the tour is a really good show, I just want McFly back now!
