I think the judges are offended that they went for a light-hearted tango (shock horror etc.), but I liked it.

Karen's the best choreographer in the show, and that includes Arlene. It would be a shame if they went out. Always real wit.

Dennis and Izabella (Jive):
to Jailhouse Rock in orange outfits

loved their acting from the start-good effort from Dennis, I think he tried his best but Izabella had to put on a lot of the show

scores: 4, 6, 6, 6

I'd loved the music for Anton & Patsy; wasn't convinced at first, but it really began to work towards the end.

(grrr at Bruce wasting time again)

I agree - I'm no dance expert, but Will was lacking something there.

Will and Hanna (jive):

Will is wearing a classic mesh vest and hat - at least he has the body for it
"Man I Feel Like A Woman" song

come on move those hips!!
looked ok but didn't feel he'd thrown himself totally into it?

scores: 6, 5, 7, 7

Colin and Erin (tango):

(hardcore training woah - compare it with Zoe and Ian - Colin is really hard on himself) - can Erin beat Anton at their own game?

Erin's dress - not liking, Colin looks normal in a black tie and tails.
Ok, but Colin looks a bit stooped and not staccato enough, and I'm not feeling the passion...

Scores: 7, 5, 7, 7

He did well enough. It's an incredibly technical dance, isn't it?

Heh - getting Cliff on your case won't help you Gloria...

(do the judges make any allowance for the age of the contestants, btw - there is no way that Bill & Gloria can keep up with the younger dancers in this)

I thought this would be Gloria's best chance, but she still walked through it. Woeful.

But it is really possible for a woman of Gloria's age to not walk through most routines?

The judges were unnecessarily harsh on Bill & Karen. Len made a good point in saying it was their least unconvincing performance (the Cha Cha Cha of the first week was still the best routine I think), but Arlene resorting to poor points such as Karen's skirt is completely unjustified in my view!!! As I type this Erin is wearing an equally long skirt in her Tango with Colin yet no points were made of it.

Couples have been criticised in previous weeks for not telling a story through their dances, yet this told a full story with excellent choreography and some good footwork (which I could see perfectly well! As could my mother who is a dance teacher!!!).

To be honest the judges are having a poor week this week. The bickering between Arlene and Craig seemed to demonstrate this, as does the constant differentiation between the scores and views amongst them on EVERY dance (I can't recall this happening before).

I just hope I haven't offended anyone with my rant there!!!

Gloria and Darren (jive):

to "Build Me Up Buttercup" - classic choon
wearing an oddly undressy dress and matching blazers but modest I spose

The tempo seems slower than the other jives but this is a wise move i feel. You gotta to hand it to gloria - she always smiles
Darren looks really held back but well done to him for choreography to match his student - especially considering the routine with Jill last year.

Scores: 3, 4, 6, 6

Look, I don't wish her ill, but this is a dance contest. I'm sorry, but it was weak.

I agree. The voting has been odd this series. Some get off easy, some don't.
