Brendan I have so much more respect for you.
What you saw in the training looked real and he seems to have turned a corner in adapting to Fiona who frankly is very poor. He has a really really tough time with such low self-esteem. I loved watching him dance with her because you could really see him doing everything he could to cheer up and help her enjoy it - and it seemed like that was his priority now, not trying to win. He was playing with her through the dance like kicking her on the butt and making faces and saying things and I thought that they weren't part of the choreography and more like the little things you'd do to try and make the other person laugh and enjoy themselves. And I think that all the Brendan-haters have got to love him for that. I know they're the poorest but I'm so glad I saw him do that - it made me and the judges really feel like they wanted to do that for her too. I am annoyed at her playing little girl lost and getting the sympathy but ho hum. |

Soon be time for the results.
If anyone goes except Glo or Fiona, I'll be mad. But I'll still not miss a minute of the BBC2 progs or the main shows. I'm keeping them on DVD for posterity. How sad is that? I'm hoping next time we have a dinner and dance to go to I can be inspired. I am Fiona to my hub's Brendan. (Ooops, no, I'll rephrase that, hubs is resigned to my two left feet so doesn't bully me, but I am crap compared to him.) He lives in hope. That's why SCD is essential viewing here. And he reckons I'm slightly better than Fiona!! ![]() YEAH! We're back with the results. |

I agree completely. I'm by no means a Brandon fan- I often find him arrogant and irritating, but I think he really is trying to take a different tact with Fiona, and I admire him for that.

Bruce is now asking for applause when he actually gets a line right. HE needs to work harder than any of the dancers to improve.

The Paso Doble is one of my favourite dances and they did it so well, such incredible passion and grace - very sexy. I can't wait until next week already!

I really wish he'd retire gracefully. His style of presenting is so 70's. ![]() I'm sure the ratings would be even better if they got someone younger to front it. I remember his hey day, and he hasn't updated his patter since then. Why is it a geriatric man paired with a woman young enough to be his granddaughter? It's never the other way round. That's quite offensive IMO. |

Quite pleased with the result tonight, but I so hope Fiona isn't going the way of Chris Parker and is kept in by the sympathy vote.
![]() That would be a travesty to the majority of Slebs who are working their guts out. Not whinging. Just look at Patsy. She's never had a dance lesson in her life (apparently) and cried all through the Sunday after the first show. But we never heard a constant whine of "I cant do this" Tonight, she shone.

Phewww! I was sweating then!
Poor Bill looked so nervous - I'm so glad he's through! I was clapping wildly when he got the result! Gloris or Fiona should have gone so it's the right result! Except for WHAT DOES FIONA HAVE TO DO TO BE KNOCKED OUT? Bill, I voted for you and I think you are fantastic! Lovely, lovely Bill!

Will was, unfairly in my opinion. Yes, he wasn't brilliant, but he wasn't worst, either- better than quite a few people *resists urges to drop names*.

Yay! At least we get to enjoy Brendan for one more week, even though his partner is pants. I'm glad Gloria went, her rountine was so snooze-worthy.
Now pull yourself together Fiona, and give Brendan the results his skill deserves! I can't believe Will was in the bottom two, I think he's easily as good as Darren and James that everyone raves about, it's just that the judges never give him the recognition they give the other two. Go Will, Go Hanna! I totally agree with everyone's Bruce comments, it's time he was gracefully retired. I vote Angela Rippon and Vernon Kay to present the next series (I'm not a Tess fan either). |

I thought it was a bit of a disappointing show this week
Why oh why do people keep voting for Fiona ? She is absolutely awful, I am no Brendan fan but I almost feel sorry for him. Vote them off !!!! Why I'm on my soap box Bruce should also retire. I just mute the tv every time he opens his mouth.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHH!
Just practicing my banshee action. It is Halloween after all ![]() I like the soap opera element, I think things would get boring if it were just the nice couples all the time. Not that I want Fiona to stay in forever, like Parker or Clary, I just enjoy the dramatic tension that she and Brendan bring to proceedings. |

As much I love Brendan I wouldn't choose him over the top 4 couples, but till then I'll judge it week by week. And it's all a bit of fun... ... right I'm off to my banshee thread
