Call barring a specific number
LTT
29-10-2005
To cut a long story short I broke up with an ex and they cant take a hint and keep calling me. I don't want to get the police involved or anything like that, I was just wondering if there's a way to block just a specific number from calling you?

Can you do this through the phone or do I have to call O2?

If I have to ring up O2 will they want to know details? e.g. time of calls, why I want it barred etc or is it just a matter of telling them the number and they'll bar it?

I know I could just change my number but I don't see why I should because of my ex, I've had it about four years.

i work at o2 CS as it is NOT possible to bar a specific number!!
you'll be asked if u want to involve police or you can have o2's nuisance call bureau call you for advice but your best bet is a number change, its FOC first time u do it or £35 every other time.
hope this helps.

As above O2 will not bar specific numbers.

Why not just phone the person and tell them that if they call you again you will get the police to have a word in their ear.

Certain phones can block numbers, though I have no ideas which ones.
