I think he's lucky because he knows he already has a deal. It's a bit of an unfair advantage.

I don`t know about arrogant...he`s just bland. He comes across as very `stage school`

I will give Shayne the benefit of the doubt, I think maybe he got caught up in the moment, although Nicholas definitely arrogant.

I must admit I do think he seemed a tad cocky. I do like him still though but I know what you mean.

I've said above that I'm not sure if Shayne is arrogant - he's bordeline for me. But if you're comparing the two there is no way that Nicholas is as confident plays up to the cameras and unable to take one criticism (after consistent OTT bigging up from Sharon) as much as I've seen from Shayne.

He doesn't have the humility of Journey South that's for sure.

Yes, I definitely agree with this one. Nicholas oozes arrogance.

He also looks like a younger version of last year's winner...whats his name....I forgot...!

Shayne seemed pretty cocky on the results show, a bit like Nicholas in one of the earlier weeks, but it's probably just the young bloke thing bugging me!

Chico came across as hugely over-confident today.

The one who really bugged me was Brenda with her comment aimed at Simon about age - totally unnecessary as he had not criticised her in the slightest. She was still my favourite tonight though.

i like Shayne but i hope the whole thing doesnt go to his head.
He always gets great comments and Louis has told him he wants to be his manager regardless of where he comes. Not to mention the fact all the magazines are backing him to win!
Despite all this he does need to stay grounded or the public will just go off.

I think hes just nervous, thats all.

The lad is very talented, hes one of my favourites, as well as Journey South and Maria.

I think there is a touch of arrogance there, but he is not alone - Nicholas is probably the worst this way.

I've not been all that impressed with Shayne since the live shows statrted (not even last week), and I did really like him prior to that. I think he is being found out a bit voacally. he has a decent voice, but he seems to only be able to sing a narrow range of songs.

He was pretty average tonight - and Simon gave him some valueable feedback (that it was a bad song choice, which should have been clear to one and all) and he was having none of it.

I saw Shayne perform at the Trafford Centre in Manchester on Thursday and there wasn't even a vague hint of arrogance about him. He was totally overwhelmed and humbled by the fantastic reception he got from his home crowd.

I think in order to perform live on national tv in front of millions with so much at stake, some contestants need to psyche themselves up in a 'beleive in yourself' kind of way. This could easily come across as arrogance.

He is getting cocky!

I hate his antics with Sharon, acting all innocent and cheeky. It's embarrassing and he's starting to irrate me as it seems he's getting a big head.

That was Tabby's downfall last year.

I agree the poor lad had to think of something to say when Sharon was going on at him, personally I think he took it well.

Can't remember the Simon comment but at the time I remember thinking that wasn't too clever Shayne but I don't think he's arrogant. There were a few acting more cocky than Shayne tonight.

I still think he's among the top singers and it hasn't put me off

Be interesting to see the reaction on DS if it was Simon and Chenai acting like Sharon and Shayne.

Shayne's attitude needs to improve, so does Nicholas.
Both of them are talented, but neither have anything more than a few appearances on a talent show under their belt and we've seen plenty of acts bomb from here.

Shayne's performance tonight was poor, he, Chenai and Nicholas (for the first half of his song) were the weakest singers tonight (I'm excluding Chico and Phillip, who aren't really singers.)

I know I can't either!!!

You don't get sob stories from him, he doesn't cry when things may not be going his way, he doesn't complain.

He's a good looking lad (looking better each week by the way ) who's a good singer and has a laugh with Sharon, instigated by her.

What's the problem with him I just don't get it either
