W800i mp3 transfer problem
tcall

I've just received my beautiful new W800i phone, but am having problems transfering music files onto it.
I've tried using the Disc2Phone software, and when I transfer a CD to the phone the transfer seems to go fine. When I check the righthand pane of the software all the tracks appear to be on the phone. However when I unplug the USB,and check the phone, only 1 or a couple of the tracks are actually there.
I have also tried dragging and dropping tracks in windows, but they don't play on the phone, and I get a message saying to use the Disc2Phone software.
Does anyone have a solution to this?
All my files on my computer or from CD play through Windows Media Player. Is this the problem?

Not sure what's wrong with the software..but when you dragged and dropped tracks did you make sure to store them in the right folder? I can't remember which on it is but is says somewhere in the handbook where files (e.g. pictures...) have to be stored in. Also important, they might have to be stored in the right format, i.e. Artist, Album, Track to make sure that you can use the Walkman function

Yes, I've followed the instructions to ensure I've stored tracks in the correct folders.
After hours of trying, I've managed to store tracks in the following manner:

Rip CD into mp3 files using Raptor software.
Transfer one track at a time from pc to transfer list in Disc2Phone software to mobile phone. And then the next track and so on. Occasionally a track will still appear to transfer, only for me to find it's not on the phone.

This is obviously a painstaking way of get music onto my phone. Surely someone else has come across the same issue?

Yeah, i just got my phone on thursday and have the exact same problem. I just done what you done and put songs on to the phone 1 at a time. This seems to work better, but like you said, it doesnt always work

I got my W800 a couple of days ago and had the same problem using Disc2Phone. I found just using My Computer and transferring the files using drag and drop works fine.

Just drag them to the folder called 'MP3'. Seems to work here anyway.
