Hopefully not. Do you have a friend called Marius, by the way?

I did laugh when Simon said he was choosing to keep in the person who he thought the public wanted to see back. So thats why he was in the bottom two for a second time then. Phillip was doomed tonight.

Philip was never gonna win so why not keep the comedy act in
Chico makes me smile and there are still at least 2 acts who have no chance of winning so I say keep him for 2 more weeks then he can go

In a way he is, yes, but he is very very dull and quite paiful to watch. Chico is very, very entertaining. Is there anything in the rules to say that judging has to based purely on the vocal accuracy of the performers? I think not!

Exactly!!! That's what I've been saying all along, keep the entertainment there until the bores who haven't a hope in hell have gone.

Simon made the right decision and he was right about who the public want to watch. I was grinning all through Chico's performance

ONE word GUTTED Philip CAN sing.. Chico HAVE a laugh.. that was the worst decision he ever made... CONWAY sisters OUT next week PLEASE.. who are we actually voting for.. a NEW act.. hardly.. it is the most mediocre show of them ALL... Pop Idol COME back again.. this is about singers AND one of the best voices went home this week NO more votes from me sorry JS NONE at all.

Death of Sulla: "In 79 he resigned his dictatorship and went to Puteoli, where he died the next year, from a loathsome disease brought on by his excesses."

So exactly why did you choose him? (Not that Marius was very nice either!).

Yes, I'd agree with that. Personally I'd like to see Chico see off the Boredom Sisters and Tiny Tears (nicked that from another post I liked it so much ) before we get to the real vote.

Plus it gives me and my daughter the chance of some pantomime comedy booing each time he's on - very therapeutic

I didnt like Chico at the start of the show. But for some reasons i find him quite a likeable guy and somebody who is just misunderstood. He doesnt have a great voice...but compared to Philip he exudes more life and energy.

Philips` performance tonight (voicewise) was much more better than last week but he looks so awkward doing those movements. It simply lacks lustre.

All in all, I am definitely contented with tonights` result. Simon made the right decision.

It's a ratings winner, which means more money in Simons pockets.

I think Phillip performed better than Chico tonight. But, do we really need another imitator, which is what he really is.

All I can say re Chico, is my 9 year old son is a fan of the X Factor, and was distraught that Chico was in the bottom two. When I asked why Chico over Phillip, he informed me that Chico is so much more fun and he loves to watch him.

Chico will continue to get through on entertainment value, that's why the public enjoy him.

Chico is the court jester with no ability, talent, or entertainment factors.he is a tosspot who is so full of himself it is insane..the sooner public dumps him the better.....

Hmm personally and i repeat PERSONALLY i don't think chico is an idiot. I think as we hear more of him (not the singing, the crappy bit before they perform...), he does seem quite a nice guy and i think with all the stick he gets, he takes it well and doesn't cry *rolls eyes (you know who I mean by that comment)*.

Ok so he can't sing well, but who said the X Factor was just about singing? I think (personally again) that the x factor must have some stage presence and be entertaining. And about 2 of the acts still in the competition lack stage presence (have a guess...go on you know you can do it!).

But back to the point, ok so Chico's the novelty act of the competition and some of you may hate him, some may love him. Bit like marmite eh But he provides good entertainment and most people enjoy the build up to his performances because you know even although he can't sing, you are guaranteed one thing - entertainment. and good on him because he's providing more than 2 of the boring acts who can hardly sing either.

(the 2 acts i'm badly referring to are the conways & chenai but for the forth time now - that's a personal opinion ).

Somehow I feel Chico will be in the competition for another 2 weeks. So all that dislike him will just HAVE to put up with him .

all the reasons why the conway sisters will be out next week. - Conways: imitators, difficult to spot anything original, Chico will get the vote because people tune in for all sorts of reasons, including a laugh, being entertained, and at that time on a sat night, that's all ages.
and I don't 'get' the conways sisters, what age / demographic are they meant to appeal to?

yep me too!! he always makes me smile, not a hope in hell of staying longer than another couple of weeks at the most, I will miss him. Pretty sure he has a nice future in front of him as the male version of the cheeky girls, I do not say this in a mean way, I always smile at the cheeky girls too!!!
Sad or what!!

I don't like the Conway sisters either. Completely weedy and bland. There is nothing original or entertaining about them. Nor do they have much talent. Believe it or not, there's a lot of sisters in Ireland who do much the same at any party they end up at

They are nothing special.

More to the point why are you susie 4964

I believe he was a brilliant chap. Very unusual for a dictator to retire you know. I don't think that you hit on one of his better years.

I've likened him to the Cheeky Girls too I've said before in another thread, people see them as a joke, but they are the ones making money out of it, so who's having the last laugh
