I must admit I am a bit miffed tonight...

Loathe though I am to start another thread...I am miffed as Will was in the bottom two..and though I do not know Fiona from GMTV, etc....so was trying to be objective....

.... The lady cannot dance!

And if Bill or Will go out to her due to a fan base which has nothing to do with dance, I will be very cross as no offence Fiona, I have nothing against you, but you cannot dance and it seems unfair that a fanbase (for you and Brendan) is obviously voting you on who you are rather than your dancing.

I gave you a chance..I did...but compared to Will, Bill, Dennis, etc...I reckon even you would think you should not be there.

I have my favourites in these shows but I never vote them regardless..I love Bill, but didn't like him tonight so voted Darren and Patsy instead.

I admit Fiona was better this week a bit, but the others were better alot.

Please Fiona supporters and Brendan supporters...vote on their ability, not on how they are outside SCD.

I hear what you are saying but I honestly felt that they were more 'entertaining' than Gloria and Darren and so they deserved a vote.

Now if it was between them and ANYONE else, they wouldn't have had it. I openly admit my Brendan partiality, and Fiona does annoy me and is without a doubt the worst dancer, but I saw something today in a change of attitude from the judges and more significantly, in Brendan and I want to give em one last chance to turn it around - so that's why I voted.

Anyway, Will's fan base will rally now he has had a scare and it's going to be tough for F&B to be saved again - it's completely up to them now.

I voted for James and Camilla, as I think these two are dancing very well.

If someone can give Fiona that bit of confidance that she needs for her to push ahead and improve then I am more than willing to do that via this media. If that is wrong then I do apologise.

If I knew of where I could contact her personally then I sure would, think of it as you not being able to do something and someone wants to help you achieve something that YOU don't think your good at, would you do the same? I think that there are folks out there that see this the way I do and again through this medium they want to support the women. Regardless of her dance partner.

Do not get me wrong..I am the last person who would shout at a person due to low self esteem..but even me, if I danced like her, would think I should be in the bottom two.

She may be doing well, but not well on an improved James Martin/Will/Patsy/Darren style..and she was not even in the final two..and that has peed me off.

Fiona fans think I am awful if you like..but I have no grudge against her at all..I am just going on what I see, and three weeks running now...she just cannot dance!

Sorry.

And going by a few threads I read here..I seem to be in a minority.

I am going on what I watch. Nothing else.

I do not watch GMTV or even really know of Fiona..just I see other dancers trying as hard as her, and they are better.

Don't they all deserve the sympathy vote or whatever, too?

Apologies if I seem to have upset the Fiona vote. Just, as with Julian Clarey last year..I thought he deserved it as he got really good by the end. Just I don't see this this time..and there you go.

I must be in a minority and never want to upset anyone. But I have to stick to my views...as a neutral..I guess.

I really agree with this, she's being voted in partly due to an awful voting system, where her fans can call all week long and rack up the votes, and partly through the sympathy vote. She's not good enough, and better dancers are suffering through it.

Noone reading your posts would take offence, whatever contingent they're part of. It makes sense. But peeps have different criteria by which they're voting - it's multifactorial:

most improved/most popular outside show/most attractive/most sympathy vote/most broad spectrum appeal/most drama-gossip worthy/most sadistic

Not all or even any are particularly good reasons but they feed into who people want to watch and why they pick up a phone. The judges are going (or should be going) by purely skill/improvement - but us peeps out here vote with our gut often and that's why the couple with the lowest mark doesn't always go out.

Actually I'm not sure what point I'm trying to make - you know all of this already. I know it's frustrating when good dancing couples are knocked out by inferior ones, but they haven't managed to win over their public and that's what it's partially about.

And finally - it's all really about raising money for Children in Need so if a controversial couple are stirring it up enough to make people part with their pennies then it's all worth it surely

Fiona is trying and the public can see that it would be boring if everyone could dances I have voted sereal times tonight and I am glad she is trough and I hope she improves somemore next week

She said at the show last week that any emails sent to GMTV doesn't get to her but anything sent to the Mirror does....so that's the way to go for contact.

Iam going to email her and tell her is is great because she is

Boho, Fiona can't dance, but it's the same with every reality show, the underdog will always stay in until it gets serious with the last real contenders.

I also thought Will was very good tonight and the fact that he's a real trier and improver. The fact that he's particularly gorgeous helps, though I'm not biased

Will has a great body but Brendan's is better

Hopefully we never fall out, but I'm not a Brendan fan. But each to their own

Thanks peeps who saw where I was coming from.

I fear I am on a losing battle with this as I think at least two other couples are trying as hard. And neither that I want to win.

And going by some people on here they think she is the best which is sad for the ones who are really trying and are entertaining...6 or 7 of them imo.

Oh well. Maybe I will just have to chill out, not vote (I did vote tonight but I may not know if it seems that Fiona will win regardless) and stop posting so I do not get miffed.

And I know I am not the only one here who votes by perfomance rather than anything else...just a bit jaded tonight reading threads and stuff. I did not like Denise last year, but if she had won, fair enough as she was very good.

But if Chris Parker had won the first show I would have been most miffed as even he knew he was not the best.

But ignore me I am just fed up...I take it all WAY too seriously!

If Fiona wins, she wins. I just wish people would vote on perfomane and most improved rather than who they like. But that's just me. Muppet that I am.

No - I agree with you (in fact just posted something on another thread before I saw this one).
To me, it's not just that she can't dance (heck neither can I!) it's just that she dosen't appear to be a) trying or b) enjoying it.
I think that if she could at least come across as having a good time then the fact that she isn't technically perfect wouldn't be so bad.
I think if Brendon could just try to get across some of his love and enthusiasm of dance this week (like Eron did last year with Julian. He wasn't very good but at least he tried and did enjoy it) it could help.
And, can she stop making excuses - Patsy has more kids than her and one f them has chicken pox but she hasn't made a big deal out of it!

Boho, Fiona won't win. The public will keep her in, until they sympathy runs out and they start voting for the real performers. It happened last year with Julian Clary, bless him.

Colin was disappointing tonight, and I'm seriously surprised that Will and Hanna didn't get better points. I think he has truly improved and looked great. Maybe the dance wasn't spectacular, but they give others points for improvement.

Personalities tend to play a big part also.

I caved and voted for Fiona tonight, partly because I feel so sorry for Brendan, and partly because I thought Gloria was bland beyond belief and i wanted her to go. I thought she should have gone last week instead of Jaye, who had a real chance to improve. I won't vote for Fiona again if I think she's the worst, I'll only vote for her if there's someone else I think should go instead (which is extremely unlikely). Who knows, this week may see her have a complete revolution and dance really well. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Brendan that she does.

I absolutely agree with the Will supporters, he shouldn't have been in the bottom two. He's easily as good as Darren and James, he just doesn't get the marks to reflect it. I might vote to keep him in next week

To me, Will just wasn't into his dancing this week (looked awkward and self-conscious etc.); I wasn't surprised when he ended up in the bottom two.

I'm prepared to give Fiona one more week, mainly because I wasn't bothered about Gloria leaving this week. If she doesn't manage to turn things around next Saturday (and it is quite possible now that she & Brendan sort of know what to do), then I will be miffed if she survives.

Please vote for Will on my behalf next week, I can't vote from here on this one. Unless he's completely crap of course.

Huh? Why does that make a difference? I heard he was straight, anyway.
