Do you get deflated?
Bohochick

I am such a sad old bag!

I look forward to SCD (and also the x factor) every Saturday....just like when I used to look forward to going clubbing, etc on a Saturday night. (I am too old now )

I arrange my whole night around them both.

Is it just me or does anyone else here get all deflated once Saturday night is over.

A whole week until the next show...even though I love ITT and the xtra factor shows...it is a WHOLE WEEK!!!

(I am putting this in the x factor forum too..and if no one replies to either..I will cringe...it must be just me! )

It's not just you - and to be fair everyone posting here at 11.16pm on Saturday night has got to be feeling a bit deflated!

The worst is Sunday because there's no ITT either
I suppose I should engage in the real world and do some revision

I actually like ITT better, I don't have all the stress of 'Is Anton going this week?' I love all the dancing on Saturday night, but I sort of wish that people didn't have to go every time - how soft is that?

Sundays are very boring with no SCD or ITT, so I look forward to Monday instead!

I would definitely suggest that you tape them so you can watch them again

have just been trawling through the previous threads and thought I'd bump this one!! I totally agree with you Boho, after saturday's show and now with the prospect of them all doing 2 dances until the end of the series, I get so excited leading up to a saturday but come sunday I'm all sad again. ITT is a god send although it doesn't make up for the excitement of the live show. I was feeling bad on sunday so I was just wondering what I'm going to be like when the show ends, no actually, I don't think I want to go there........

I was thinking about the end of the series too! How sad will that be? Someone should organise a "Leaving Party" thread for the last week so we can have a good old cry and give each other proper goodbyes until next year.

Unless we get the Fan Club going!

Dont worry Boho, you are not alone!

I love Saturday nights now (and when Doctor Who comes back it will be even better) and got annoyed when I missed my weekly fix of SCD when I was on holiday. Luckily my parents have BBC Prime which started showing series 2, so it appeased me a little...LOL

I am very loyal to SCD, I always tape X Factor and watch SCD live as it were!

I have to reiterate, that 'thanlk goodness for ITT' - it truly just brings me right back up. While there is lots of restrospective stuff, there's plenty of looking forward to next week type stuff, and it makes you happy again.

Tonight will be fab with all the backstage stuff and seeing Bill and Karen again, and Patrick Swayze, had better shake that money-maker with Claudia or I'll be very pouty and put out

And tomorrow is our Forum Panel! woohoo.
We shall definitely have a Leaving Party, or Wrap party type thing on the boards, and I will want to keep chatting to all the wonderful people on here so will head over to the Chatter threads and maybe we could have a "SCD Ballroom - come in for a twirl" sort of thread for people to drop in to to reminisce or just catch up

****

No pet, it isn't just you.

But if it was on every day then it would be over quicker....! It's not fair. I must be a bit of a masochist, but I quite like looking forward to the next fix. Waiting for the show to be on again is better than no show at all!!

PS You are brave going on the XF forums - they don't pull any punches over there, you know

I'm glad this came back up to the top as I missed it first time - I wasn't ignoring you Boho!

I am equally as sad. I organise my weekends based around the timings of the shows. I now watch SCD on Saturday and then watch the X Factor repeat on Sunday. That way I have something to look forward to on both days. How sad is that?!

I dread the 18th December when it's all over. We must all keep in touch through one of the forums and keep each other going until next autumn!

Totally agree with what everyone has written here - I've been a SCD fan since Series 1, but this series is by far the best - the quality of competition is SO good. My week is absolutely ruled by the timings of ITT - just had to check what time I finish work tomorrow, now that our Alternative Panel showing date has been changed. Was so looking forward to that tonight - another 24hours to wait boo hoo

No idea what I will do once the show is finished - spend more time on James Martin's website, or get myself a Freeview box - is UK Food on Freeview, I wonder???

I have to sy "me too" . I always watch and tape the show unless, like Saturday, I was out - and am going to be out next Saturday too. The only thing is I've not been so suportive of one of the couples before. I started off voting for Fiona and Brendan but then very quickly fell under the spell of Anton. It is really hard to cope with the emotions of will they stay or will they go?

I love Bill and Karen, too, though. And even though I knew what was going to happen I even cried at the results show when I watched it this morning.

Boho.. you're not alone!

I even did a worse thing last week.... I spent the entire week building myself up for Saturday.. and when the show eventually came on, I got so nervous for the competitors that I hardly enjoyed it at all.

That's SOOO sad!!!
Ah well, when you're in the depths of study and Strictly is the only light you have time for... a little obsession is excusable... right??

Thankfully exams are over now and I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

They'll soon be over for you, Happyfeet. Time will race by, and you will be absolutely fine. *sparkes pink fairy dust in Happy's direction, not that she needs it but every little helps*

Or set up our own forum. One year after Big Brother a group of us did create our own forum so we could all carry on chatting to each other. Plus you’re not restricted to staying on topic.

But shh, don’t tell anyone or DS might ban me for seditious talk.

I know we all enjoy this show, but what about joining the dance schools to fill in the gaps you speak of. The school I go to is excellent and has a link on the BBC site but although we have a waiting list for children adult numbers are down. So get out and get dancing
