I love this part of the show! It's great seeing them all do their thang!!! It's amazing, and quite terrifying for the celebs I'm sure! The samba wass ace! My fave is still the first show when it was Rumba/Quickstep.

As I understand it there are going to be three new dances this year. I assumed they would be next week because they have done the ones from last year. So the least they could have done was a demo!

I'm gutted. It was my favourite part of the show!!!!

I really think we could have lost the singer and pianist in favour of the professional dance. After all, it is Strictly Come Dancing not X Factor!

I do have to say though... I really did enjoy Beverley Knight - classy lady - and Jools Holland. Watching the music acts does enhance the proper old-skool quality of the programme, and I think the acts they attract refelct this (e.g. Michael Buble). Admittedly sometimes the acts are a bit less grand, but still.

I watch X-factor only if it doesn't clash, and will watch one of the repeats on Sunday - but after the debacle last night, I don't think I'll even bother doing that. Scd has so much more integrity and class. It doesn't resort ot base tactics to grab money and viewers at all costs. It is tongue-in-cheek, old-fashioned with a modern twist, fun for all the family entertainment

I was SO dissapointed not being able to see the professionals, when the first part of strictly coem dancing is over I always look forward to the results cause you get to see the professionals. I was VERY annoyed!

It helps to know what you should be looking for next week.
And, on top of that, it's great fun to watch.

I know, what happened there?! And why didn't Anton and Erin join in at all?! And what new dances are there?! And why are all the Pro-Demo Dances Latin-American?! Whjy am I asking so many questions?!

Think the new dances are the salsa and argentine tango, so that's something to look forward to! I would love to see the professionals doing both of those! I agree it was disappointing not to see the professionals on Saturday, hope we're back to normal next week! I expect most of the demos are latin, because most of the professionals are latin specialists. Anton by his own admission loathes the samba and is not keen on the other latin dances, so that presumably is why he and Erin don't do them, as he wouldn't look too good with the experts around him (I think it was obvious on Saturday that he is not a latin fan!).

Sorry forgot to mention the third new dance which I believe is the Lindyhop!

third new dance is the jitterbug - will be interesting to see them tackle these new dances. I love the argentine tango - and of course tango used to a latin dance and this dance is the reason why.
