Bill and Embarressment
Tanyatango
29-10-2005
After watching Bill dance tonight with Karen, I can see how embarressment comes into being.

I have always wondered how the guys manage to erm shall we say "Control themselves".

I would imagine it could be quite disasterous if you have an attractive partner and wear the lycra pants etc that the guys do.

Hi babes. Welcome to the forum!

You have started a couple of threads tonight saying how much you are supporting Fiona which is cool.

But I warn ya....dissing on Bill will bring you a bit of wrath here as he has alot of supporters....me as one.

And he is not an embarressement at all to me. And he is married is he not? So I hope he 'controls' himself on TV! And I would say something else regarding other SCD acts, ...but I am a lady!

Actually..reading my post back, it is coming over as a bit harsh..it isn't meant to Just a bit fed up and tired due to a few things!

*hugs*

yes I appreciate what you have replied, however, I actually meant that Bill was not an embarressment, but he was embarressed at the close proximity in which he had to dance with Karen this evening, and I wonderd how he and the rest of the guys manage to keep things under control, yes again I realise that they are all mature guys but even the most maturist of guys have feelings.

I enjoy being a part of this discussion group, it's great when you can let your feelings be known, in a proper setting.

Aw, I don't think Tanya meant it as a Bill diss. I can see her point, it might be difficult to keep your reactions under control when you're all pressed up against a pretty lady. Karen is very attractive, and even married men can't always control their physical reactions.

I'm glad I'm not a fella - at least if Fiona gets turned on dancing with Brendan she can keep it to herself!

EDIT: sorry, didn't realise you guys had already sorted things out

No..it was totally my fault.

I jumped the gun.

Me, Saturday night, high emotions and wine tends to do that to me!

Sorry Tanya..and yes..I agree.

It is great we can all talk about what we like on here. Apologies again.

Back OT..yes...I do wonder how they do *cough* stop their emotions running riot *cough*

I felt sorry for Bill last night as he had worked hard and had had that ankle injury last week as well. He wasn't the best tonight but he should have been given more marks for effort. He comes across as a very shy chap who's embarrassed by very sexy dancing, and they shouldn't hold that against him.
Good for you Bill in standing up to the judges, hope he wasn't voted off?

Good show Bill

Bill's face when he got critisied by the judges He looked like a little boy who had been unfairly told off He so didn't deserve all that critism.

I admired Bill for standing up for himself and speaking (relatively) assertively to the judges, I also admire him for his dedication to working hard and doing the best he can to improve his dancing skills. As for the embarassment factor, who wouldn't be embarrassed to have taken part in the over-the-top routines he's been a part of since Show 1? He and Karen seem to be the only 'cupple' who think they're taking part in some sort of comedy cabaret .. my husband (who watches the show with me under sufferance mainly because he fancies Lilia) always says 'Send in the clowns' whenever Bill and Karen appear.

Bless him, he's so real! Of course he'd be embarrassed to be so close to someone!

I thought he was very unfairly criticised and I felt so sorry for him! Yes, he wasn't the best dancer of the night - he has never professed to be, but he certainly didn't deserve the criticism he got! That was totoally unfair!

Bill has the enthusiasm, the humour and the dedication, as well as the caring personality. He is lovely and he should be treated better by the judges!

Bill is wonderful and I voted for him, because I think he's fantastic!

Lovely, lovely Bill!

for Arlene - the sour faced cow - she was totally over the top!

His anger was quite comedic. You've never seen a celeb so miffed. He was ready to fly for Arlene. I went off him a bit, because most of the celebs usually take criticism in such good part, but he looked really p***ed off. I have a feeling that the judges will continue to be quite critical of him, because they don't like it when people stand up to them. Not fair, I know, but it seems to be the way they do things.
