If the 'Sun' are correct we should see some fireworks at tonights eviction. 200 'Jade' supporters are going down to Elstree to protect her if she is evicted (see:

How many people do you think go to eviction night? Have CH4 given the bulk of tonights tickets to Jades supporters to atone for last weeks 'Get Jade Out' fiasco? Are they now trying to diffuse the situation?

I spoke to Jade's mother last night in my local pub - she said that she has only been given 50 tickets - as that was all that BB allow per nominee. SHE HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN 200 as the newspapers keep saying. She tried to get more because she's had so many people approaching her - but she is only allowed 50. This really annoys me as it give people in Bermondsey a bad name.

Well there will be alot more hissing and booing for Adele as she is evicted tonight!

From all articles/forums I've seen and read about Jade's supporters, have implied thuggish "south London style" (to quote someone else on this forum) behaviour. I am going down there to see what happens, to cheer/boo accordingly - not to threaten or intimidate anyone. I'm going down like anyone else - just for the crack of its!!

I've lived in Bermondsey for several years now, I've brought my children up here and am very please with the result - have you ever thought that the media are playing on people's perceptions of what people in Bermondsey are like - did they stop anyone wearing a suit and interview them ?- Where I live is in the heart of Bermondsey (or sometimes known as the Docklands depending how much money you've got) - but no matter how much they dress it up it's still Bermondsey - If you walk around where Jade's mother lives you'll see people from all backgrounds, ethnic groups, and with a wide variety of educational backgrounds.

So please don't fall for the media perception of Bermondsey and form your own opinions. Bermondsey like any area in London is an amalgamation of my different types of people.

i am in scotland so haven't had the pleasure of visiting bermondsey, nor have i seen any media re the place.

I agree with you that they're bending over backwards - which means poor Adele will get a particularly rough ride. The 200 tickets story came from an interview with a BB producer on Channel 4 early this morning who said categorically that 200 tickets had been shared between Jade's family members and friends, leaving little room for anyone else!

Jade is no-ones hero - her behaviour in the house has been terrible - but she has tried to atone for her earlier behaviour - she apologised to Sophie (albiet too little too late), but there was an interview recently with Sophie and she said it was not Jade she was particularly angry with, but Adele and that she would love to see Adele evicted (sorry can't remember where I read this!*!) I am not going down there in full support of Jade, but I wouldn't like to see anyone booed or jeered at Adele included - I think punishment enough will be when Jade sees herself and how she is perceived by the public.

There has been tons of publicity about it, she has her mums colouring and dads facial features which accounts for her rather "eclectic" looks

Her father is mixed race - Jade is 1/4 mixed race (don't know the correct term.

And once again I say Jade's mum has only been allocated 50 tickets - spoke to her a short while ago - BB haven't given her any more than that.

Maybe its just hype!!

i heard somewhere that it was her grandfather that was half black.

no, her dad is not black, he's mixed race (or half-caste if thats still an acceptable description). so in fact that means jade is actually quarter-caste (3 quaters white, 1 quarter black), thats why her skin skin complexion makes her look more like a white person than either a half-caste or black person. this meas that if she marries a white person and has children for that man, it will be virtually impossible to tell that they have any traces of black genes in them whatsoever. and if that same cycle continues over the generations, the resultant children in the future may actually grow up hating black people, not knowing that they have black genes in them at all. i find this kind of thing fascinating.

and on this very subject, i can remeber watching a program that revealed that no-one is actually fully white or fully black or fully indian or fully chinese etc. as all races have traces of genes from other races in them. can't remember exactly where i saw this, but once again it was fascinating viewing.

(sorry for changing the subject slightly, but just thought i'd share that with you.)

Back in the days when these things mattered:
Mulatto = 50/50 black/white
Quadroon = 25% black
Octaroon = 12.5% black

Anything less was "a touch of the tar-brush", but still enough to bring out the bigots.
