He angers me so much hogging the limelight all the time!! He has to have control of the bloody spotlight to the point that you don't even get to hear what the judges's comments are and it's so damn annoying!!

He really must be restrained from doing it or muzzled him while it's the judges's turn to speak!

i agree. he was worse last night than ever

sometimes the dancers talk over the judges (or vice versa) but that can be understood due to emotions. bruce has no excuse.

and he really seems to think the show is a success due to him. grrr.....

And what was that bizarre 'joke' where he tried to prompt an audience member to grope his arse?

If it wasn't live, I'd tape the show and fast forward Brucey and Tess, but as it is, we'll just have to put up with them.

Here's a thought - Claudia should present the main show!!

I understand that he has to keep comments brief from the judges but that is no excuse for being so rude and talking over the top of them. Maybe he should edit out some of his supposedly funny observations.

I always watch it with a 10 minute delay so that I can fast forward through Bruce, he is so annoying.

Thank you Sky+

I do the same. As soon as the camera pans to Bruce and his lips open, my finger hits the fast forward button. Nothing personal but I wish they'd get rid.

Well said. Craig was trying to say something last night and Brucie just started blabbering over the top of him.

Me too - we had a hairy moment last night when Mr Mindy (briefly) had control of the blipper and I was treated to a bit of Brucie - but the ear piercing shriek soon showed him the error of his ways and the blipper was mine for the rest of the show!

He's such a show-off and so irritating - talking over the judges and always trying to shut them up and hurry things along.

If he didn't hog so much of the programme with his pathetically unfunny jokes and frequent displays of "dancing" there would be more time for the judges comments.

Someone should remind him he's just a presenter and not the star of the show.

I'd agree, he's the only thing about the show that makes me cringe, the man's a legend but he doesn't suit the format of the show.

My dad refuses to watch the show purely because of him, although i dont think he was too bad tonight. there was less interupting and bad jokes but the display of random foot tapping was uncalled for

I'd have to agree, I would like Bruce to let the judges speak and stop rushing them but at the end of the day it the director telling him to hurry up because they are running out of time, therefore cutting down on the judges comments is the best and quick way of saving time. They can't cut down on most of Bruce comments to save time cause they are links to pre recorded items or to Tess.

But I'll add the fact, I think Bruce is getting better and better week on week. For most of tonight program he was ok but some part like the Pop Noodles joke was cringe. I also like in tonight episode the fact he did not go over the top or keep on telling the audience off/making joke about the women in the audience, all of which is the same old joke we heard in last week show and aleast twice in this show.

He should NOT get involed when the judges are talking, something which I think he did more of today.

But overall I liked Bruce today. Keep it up Bruce.

Yes and I loved it when he was himself enjoying the interview Tess was doing and was laughing and got lost for words. And the way he was with Bill & Karen was great! So natural. He knew the audience wanted more and just went on and ignored the directors. hehe

I loved the bit with Bill and Karen, it was just great and natural.

I liked how he was just himself and not really thinking everything is about him; this was most likely because after the judges had give they comments he would ask the couples if they had anything to say to the judges. This is a great idea which the program makes should carry on doing. This was good for Bruce because it made him a presenter and less important as it showed the show it about the couples, not him.

Brucie was pretty good last night, perhaps he had some medication. I did listen to most of what he had to say

i think he's paid atention to what's been said about him. the 'light blue touchpaper and retire' comment was very marked

I don't mean to single you out here Beth but this comment just about encapsulates how off the mark this anti-Bruce sentiment is.

For a start i can't believe Bruce is the only thing about the show that makes you cringe. The whole show itself is one glorious cringe-fest! Thats not to do it down. I wish people would stop pretending that Strictly Come Dancing is first and foremost a dancing competition. Its NOT! Its a light entertainment show and when it plays to that title it is at its strongest as a format. Half the appeal of the show is the campness, the faux-glamour and the rickety presentation. I absolutely LOVE Strictly Come Dancing and i cringe from start to finish. Not in a 'god this is awful' way, but in a 'isn't this fantastically good fun' way. And the impression i get from most people (except the hardcore minority here) is that is exactly what is so appealing about it. Most people who watch aren't in to dancing!

And Bruce is PERFECT for the show. Yes, he could let the judges talk a but more freely bit his bad jokes, self-effacing humour and general confusion is all part of the fun and it suits the pitch of the show down to the ground. There is NO-ONE more made for this show than him. I wish people would lighten up about the whole thing and get a sense of perspective! This isn't the X-Factor for goodness sake. Humour is at the heart of Strictly Come Dancing and there is no better man to front it at that level than Bruce. The show wouldn't be half what it is without him. The parts i enjoyed the most last night all involved Brucie and his wayward antics.

I've expressed my opinion on this before and i'm only going to end up repeating myself over and over. I just wish the anti-Bruce camp would put up and shut up. Let us enjoy the show for what it is and not try and bring it down by pretending its something its not!

The thing is though, a lot of people feel that Bruce's jokes aren't actually funny. Everytime he makes a 'joke' or starts doing some dance steps, it makes me want to hide in embarrasment for him! lol

I knew someone would say that back to me. Which i was hoping for. We all know his jokes aren't funny! Its self-effacing humour. Its the cringe-worthiness of it all which makes it endearing and fits the show perfectly. When Brucie makes an awful joke i smile exactly because it ISNT funny. He knows it, the viewer knows it and the show is all the better for it.

Seriously folks, get with the programme.

I have got with the programme which is why I'm fed up with him ... The problem is he's getting worse... everyone knows he's not funny but he's not entertaining and it's time he realised the show isn't about him.

I thought some of the things he said yesterday were awful, especially when he told Dennis Taylor that he sympathised because he knew Dennis was out of his depth, and I thought saying Fiona Phillips she's lousy but consistent was just mean.

I have started recording SCD and using the Brucie Button [>>]

I can't believe some of you lot. I really can't. Thank god you're not all TV executives.

I can't believe there are people who think Bruce Forsyth still has a place on television ... he should been pensioned off years ago..

Hey ho .. each to their own..

i liked the bit with bill and Karen on saturday night because it was natural and funny (tho i maintain it had more to do with bill and karen than bruce) its when he tries to force the humour with the random jokes, its not a good format
