Since Karen's choice of dress was criticised by the judges last night, I thought I would open a thread to discuss the costumes that both the celebs and dancers wear.

I thought Zoe's headress last night was more suitable to the tango than the jive. Dennis and Izabela's outfits were hideous, and I thought Will's made him look like Stretch Armstrong.

Fiona, I think, always looks lovely. Patsy looks cool and sophisticated. I admire Bill for sticking to his "no glam" guns, but last night it made him look like a pimp.

I loved Zoe's outfit last night, I thought she looked just lovely. Lilia's was also very pretty. Erin was a surprise dud, considering she has her costumes made by her own dressmaker and usually looks great. Last night's was just nasty clashing orange and pink - ew! I thought the same thing about Patsy, i'm afraid, her hair clashed with her dress. I think she suits neutrals better, like the white dress she wore for the Rumba and the fawn dress she wore on ITT.

Is Fiona ever going to wear something that isn't purple?

Really really hated Erin's dress last night, to me it looked like 3 separate dresses that had been cut up and cobbled together. Lilia always looks amazing, but last night she was just stunning, completely breathtaking. Dennis and Izabella I agree, hideous, Zoe looked gorgeous but more like a flapper then a jiver, Camilla looked good as well, quite understated for her but very very elegant, and the wig suited her.

Yeah, I thought Zoe's dress looked like she was going to do the Charlston rather than the Jive! I loved the dress though!

The ladies dresses last night were not as stunning as some I have seen, however, credit wher credit is due and Lillia looked fantastic. The guys however, well, they too were a bit on the drab side

I agree that Zoe's dress was gorgeous for her, but totally unsuited to the dance. I don't understand why they chose such vile outfits for Dennis and Isabella - they really were horrendous.

I thought Karen's dress was a bit odd - too many ruffles and not a particularly attractive colour skirt.

I WAS under impression that Chrisanne does all the designing and making of the dresses in cojunction with those wearing them - well according to their website they do and there is a gallery of the dresses being worn in the show

Could Darren Gough not have danced the Tango in a sleeveless T-shirt - and if not, why not!

Ooh, have you got a link for that? I think Erin is the exception, I've heard her say that she has her own designer that makes her dresses seperately from the rest of the girls. She may have changed that this series though. I thought her Quickstep dress was so lovely last week, all those layers of chiffon.

Lilia has lovely dresses - and last nights was gorgeous! She obviously has the figure, but her dresses look fabulous!

I agree with Catherine1972- Lilia's dress last night (and the week before, actually) was gorgeous. I also really liked Zoe's, even if it wasn't particularly jivey.

I have a notoriously poor memory, but, if t serves me correctly, I remember really liking Camilla's as well- her hair was really cool with that wig. Izabella and Dennis's outfits, though- eurgh.

I loved Zoe's dress too - the hair and the head band suited her so much and the dress was gorgeous.
I spent her dance being so jealous!
