Every competition needs judges but on SCD, surely Craig and Arlene could be a little more constructive with their criticism rather than being so destructive and at times downright rude.
The celebrities are not professional dancers and need to be encouraged to grow in confidence.
Len and Bruno are much nicer as they can criticise without making the celebs feel like they are the lowest of the low!!
I know that TV Channels need ratings but SCD is such a brilliant show that even without Craig and Arlene they would still do well.
Even if I agree with some of their comments, I would put them across in a more tactful manner.
Being a top choreographer doesn't necessarily make you a top dancer!!!
Lets have a show where Arlene and Craig are partnered with the professionals and the other professionals can mark them!!! Give them a taste of their own medicine!!!!!

It seems to me that in the current climate of Reality shows, Arlene is trying to become the Sharon Osborne/Simon Cowell of SCD! Either the producers have asked her to up her game, or she's looking to big up her part

There is no reason at all to be so negative and depressing about the performances - as you say, they're not professionals and it's entertainment for the masses.

Unfortunately, it would be criticised as 'bland' if the judges were all Like Len and Bruno - it's the way it is these days

It's great to hear your views but the show is so good on it's own that even without Craig and Arlene, it would still hold it's appeal.
SCD wouldn't be "bland" without their comments. It would probably have a few million less viewers reaching for the bottle to calm their anger!!!!!
