Am I the only one who finds Andy really dull?

I like Andy's voice - he was the only person who stood out in auditions for me. But he seems to be breezing through the finals without having to make much effort, which is probably why a lot of people think he's boring. I want to see him challenged, to sing a song that he wouldn't normally pick - if he can carry off something unusual, I think he'll win himself a few more fans.

Agree with that, beee. I would be happy to change my mind, if he sings something out of his comfort zone. It's his performances so far I find dull but there's time for that to change.

The thing is i dont see it as a Big Brother type thing so personality isnt a huge factor for me unless they are really really horrible or cocky! I also bear in mind the fact his mother has died very recently and that he is grieving so i take that account as to why he may not appear the life and soul of the party. I do hope he chooses a happier song soon though just to see what he would be like.

I would agree.

I think he's got the best voice out of the final 12 but I did find him a tad dull in saturday and was a bit surprised by the judges comments.

I'd like to hear him do some contemporary soul stuff. He said before he's into John Legend and he has done stuff for the Trevor Nelson urban showcases. Thats more what I'd like to hear him do.
I just wonder if they're playing him 'safe' for the Saturday evening audiance that voted for Steve to win last year, which is a shame cos I think Andy is better than that.

I like his voice but thought he wasn't that good on sat - it was quite boring and I was gobsmacked when simon said how good he was. Its a shame that they had all grasped the bin man story and quite patronising to all the luvlie guys who are out emptying our bins every day. He should stay grounded and stick up for his fellow 'refuse technicians'. Hope he goes up tempo again this week............

No, you're not the only one. Polly Hudson from the Mirror states:

'The most Andy can hope for is a duo with Steve Brookstein. Dull, boring & Tedious.'

I watched him on Saturday and was saying out loud to myself(like you do) OMG that is his worse performance, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz, thats him out of the comp..then the judges praise him as if he is the best thing since Elvis and Andy says "thanks for your critisisisms..your critisisms have been great!" What critisism !! he will soon be a has bin man !!

He's got a good voice, but the X Factor just isn't there. I fear he would flop if he released an album.
