Chico - What Should He Perform Next Week?

Anyone who likes Chico must be concerned as to what song will be chosen for him to sing (yeah, yeah, I realise that isn't his strong point ) next week.

I think, from the previous time he was in the bottom two, that he is capable of putting on a strong performance to keep his place. The main problem now is for him to be stretched and show another side to his personality.

I would like to see him perform a slower song, there are tunes out there that require a good delivery but not necessarily a strong voice.

I was thinking that he would suit a regaae or maybe lovers rock number. As he has worked in Jamaica, it is an area of music he will know.

I know that he isn't thought of anything other than a novelty act by most people, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't be in the competition and I do think he has the ability to do more than he has shown already.

I'm hoping that Sharon and Mark will seriously consider the options that are available.

I'm sure that the usual suspects will turn up on this thread with their idea of humour, but hopefully the people who genuinely want Chico to stay for a while longer on the show will also contribute.

A medley from the Sound of Music sampling from 'Lonely Goatherd' and seguing into 'So Long, Farewell' as a grand finale. They could dress him in lederhosen and his backing singers in curtain material offcuts (no change there then).

he needs to be brave and stop singing the same cheesy songs whilst doing the same cheesy dances.
he keeps harping on about how he can sing, well if thats the case why doesnt he sing a ballad and show us how good his voice is.

Kiss (TJ)

Ladies Night (Kool and the Gang)

I agree he has nothing to lose now,
try something different.

Hero (Enrique Iglasias)

That'd suit his voice perfectly!

The perfect song for Chico would be Senza Una Donna by Zucchero and Paul Young.....it is a ballad so it would be very different for Chico and it would suit his gravelly voice to a tee!!!!

How's about something in sign language? Oh and Mel, unfortunately I didn't get to see your boyfriend make a p**t of himself again, I'm in France. But I did manage to catch the voting of the bottom two. Chico is one lucky *** !! To have got this far.

"Time to Say Goodbye" (Andrea Boccelli). If he manages to sing that, I might even vote for him

Yea let him sing that - could do with a good laugh! That would be the funniest thing on British Television. Saw Ricky Martin the other night on French TV. And.... No - Chico is not a "Ricky Martin". More like Donald Duck trying to do a "Ricky Martin"!! No wonder he ended up in the bottom two ........ yet again!!!

Shame! He did ok again, keeps on going like a trooper.

He certainly is lucky but as Simon pointed out he is what we would rather see Oh well Chenai next week, then Conway Sisters, then Nicholas, let Chico stay a while longer! After that we can see real talent

Hope you're having fun in France
