"Young James was a dreadful singer"
Oh please! The boy sounded just like a young Will Young.
"Trevor is in the mould of Clay Aiken (ie. an unexpected popstar), and is infact very marketable."
Very true. Not being able to see the appeal of a boy (or girl for that matter) whose voice sounds about 10 years older and 100 times bigger than his physical appearance showed a great lack of imagination on Louis' part, not to mention the lack of foresight to see that Trevor was no more and no less physically and facially than any typical 16 year old boy.
"Trevor could have won the whole thing"
Something Louis was well aware of but he/they didn't want that. Trevor would have stood in the way of the chosen one.
"I think the Chenai, Nicholas and Philip have helped to prove that they both should have been there in place of two of them"
I don't totally agree. I think Nicholas is very good and Chenai just needs to get over her lack of confidence. Lookswise, they are also the two that most look like stars.
I wouldn't have put Phillip through past the second auditions and couldn't understand with all the talent Louis had to choose from why he decided to put this boy through simply to have an Irish representative.
Shayne doesn't melt my butter either but he is a better than average if predictable singer. I can see why he would appeal to some people though and why Louis and the others think so. I would gladly have left him behind at the last 7 stage though and he isn't exactly ingratiating himself with his conceitedness.
I would have liked to have seen any two out of Trevor, James and Daniel in over these two.
