Definitely! Like I've said in another thread Louis based his decisions on appearance not ability

Hasn't it been reported/rumoured that Louis has given a record deal to Trevor? The fact of the matter is that true talent will shine through, whether or not you win the competition.

Lemar was not the winner. G4 was not the winner. Sarah Whatmore was not the winner. Cheeky Girls were not the winners. (or talented.)

Whether or not you are in the competition or not, if someone wants to sign you, they will.

Jings! Please DON'T bring them back! Young James was a dreadful singer! Worse than Chico!

What was the fuss with Trevor, he had a look unmarketable, he sang through his nose & had the style of a 60 year old.

Sarah Whatmore was someone from Pop Idol 1, who only made the final 50, but Simon Fuller or Simon Cowell still gave her a deal. And Dude Love, Trevor is in the mould of Clay Aiken (ie. an unexpected popstar), and is infact very marketable.

You do not have to be stick thin or gorgeous to be marketable.

Awww......bless those lovely young men! I felt that at least one of them should have made it to the live stages, and I think the Chenai, Nicholas and Philip have helped to prove that they both should have been there in place of tow of them.

Trevor could have won the whole thing, IMHO.

Louis Walsh is a total muppet!

"Young James was a dreadful singer"

Oh please! The boy sounded just like a young Will Young.

"Trevor is in the mould of Clay Aiken (ie. an unexpected popstar), and is infact very marketable."

Very true. Not being able to see the appeal of a boy (or girl for that matter) whose voice sounds about 10 years older and 100 times bigger than his physical appearance showed a great lack of imagination on Louis' part, not to mention the lack of foresight to see that Trevor was no more and no less physically and facially than any typical 16 year old boy.

"Trevor could have won the whole thing"

Something Louis was well aware of but he/they didn't want that. Trevor would have stood in the way of the chosen one.

"I think the Chenai, Nicholas and Philip have helped to prove that they both should have been there in place of two of them"

I don't totally agree. I think Nicholas is very good and Chenai just needs to get over her lack of confidence. Lookswise, they are also the two that most look like stars.

I wouldn't have put Phillip through past the second auditions and couldn't understand with all the talent Louis had to choose from why he decided to put this boy through simply to have an Irish representative.

Shayne doesn't melt my butter either but he is a better than average if predictable singer. I can see why he would appeal to some people though and why Louis and the others think so. I would gladly have left him behind at the last 7 stage though and he isn't exactly ingratiating himself with his conceitedness.

I would have liked to have seen any two out of Trevor, James and Daniel in over these two.

Yeah. One of Shayne or Trevor would have had to lose, and it would have meant two redundant judges in the final.

Oh yes, I really wish Daniel had made it through too...I thought he was a great singer, and had a fab personality to match. I was gutted when he got cut.

No doubt Louis felt the same as he does about fat people. He probably believed no one would want to see someone with a disability or deformity on telly every Saturday evening ............. and yet we have to put up with his face.

James
Trevor
Eskimo Blonde

Wasted talent...

Eskimo Blonde should have been in instead of the Addictiv Ladies though I don't think they would have lasted very long in the competition and Hari would have done better on her own.

James was very nasal and had real annunciation stuff going on; he needs a good few years of training. Cute kid and all, but a 'young Will Young'....hmmmm.

people complain about not being able to understand chenai singing b ut excuse me James was 10 times worse! I wonder if he'd get as much critiscism if it was him louis had picked....

I would have liked to see Trever after the stylist had done their bit, I remember one of the stylist saying to Louie
"Don't you dare not put him through because of the way he looks, that is easy to fix"
I like it when you get raw material, and watch them grow in style and confidence every week.

Before the live shows started, Trevor OWNED The X Factor. He was like the main character.

I think so too, I was really disappointed that he never got though, I think he would have grown and grown.

Yes, it was good advice, but not only did Louis not listen, it was the very reason he gave for not selecting him. Nice to know he has so much faith in his team!

The way I see it, if you have the voice, then more often than not you can work around the rest - it's certianly easier updating someone's wardrobe than bringing a dodgy voice up to scratch...

I'm glad Louis didn't pick them. I can think of nothing worse than one of Louis' acts winning X Factor. I hope Simon gets Trevor next series and wipes that Oirish smirk of the eedjuts face.

That's one way to look at it!
