Time for Judges to put money where their MOUTHS are!! (merged)

Right Guys

Who would like to see Craig and Arlene as the celebrities in next years SCD series???????

I for one would love it.

Being a renowned choreographer doesn't necessarily make you the best dancer so it's about time we were allowed to see exactly what they are made of??

Len is an ex professional so I have no doubt that he is a lovely ballroom and latin dancer.

Bruno is a "nice guy" who I'm sure will be able to master most of the dances.

Craig needs a taste of his own medicine!!! I'm sure that he will not be able to put across his "know it all" attitude to the standard that he expects from others and as for Arlene well...........................
Miss Patronising doesn't come into it!!!

Come on Guys lets demand that these two show us what all the fuss is about since they are so apparantly "The fountain of all perfection" when it comes to SCD!!!!!

I think that the judges are a major part of the success of the show. Arlene and Craig add an element of pantomime villian to the proceedings that makes the show more fun to watch. It would be boring if all the judges were nice to everyone. Arlene and Craig also prompt people to vote - if the judges had been nice to Fiona from the beginning, I have a feeling she wouldn't still be on the show. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but it does raise a lot of money for Children in Need.

I support Arlene and Craig - I think we'd miss them if they were dancing instead of judging.

They should do it when they go to Blackpool. Or get viewers to pledge money for them to do it. Neither of them actually look like they can dance. Len looks like the ballroom gent and bruno looks like he could shake it.

There must be some old footage of them dancing, i know arlene was in a dance group called hot gossip.

Fair enough Xadie but wouldn't you like to see them put in the position that our celebs are in every Saturday????

Yes Eclipse80 and how bad were they????????

Say's it all doesn't it?? I rest my case!!

Love your idea about getting them to dance at Blackpool.

No, I don't think I would. I think that the judges have to have a certain amount of untouchability in order to do their jobs. If every time they told someone that they needed to sort out their arms or not put their heels down the person turned round to them and said "Well you can't do it either!" no one would ever learn anything.

I wouldn't mind seeing them on something like 'Ready Steady Cook' with James, trying to keep up in the kitchen, but I think for the sake of the show they have to be able to say what they want without fear of having their own abilities attacked.

I agree with you to an extent Xadie but don't you think that there is a way of criticising?? A right way and a wrong way and both Craig and Arlene do it the wrong way.

They could still get their points across without being so downright rude!!

Keep an eye out on ITT this week - I think Claudia has 'plans' from what was said on the promos. They have shown bits before - Can't remember Craig's but Bruno was shown in backing dancer-mode for Elton John's video of 'I'm still standing' and one for Bananaram which escapes me - very 80's-look - classic

just wondered if the above couple should not be on SCD for Children in Need, it would be really good if they did this, let's turn the tables on them and see them dance, together......

I think its time our delightful judges put their money where their mouth is, and showed us what they can do!! Perhaps if they were having to dance under pressure, under hot lights live in the studio, with little practice time, and then were subjected to arrogant, patronising, cruel criticism, and humiliating scores they might understand how the contestants feel. (and the professionals)

(I excuse Bruno most of the time because he's a sweetie, and Len because he really does try to be objective as well as critical). Though it would be fun to see them dance too.
Perhaps Bruno could get his pvc shorts out again and do the dance number on the results show!!

Perhaps since the show is for charity, we could raise money for Children in Need by pledging money to see the judges dance, what do others think?

The judges would not be the judges if they didnt know what they were looking for, most of them understand only too well the pressure of performing dont see any need to ask them to prove it

There is already a thread called "Time for the Judges to put their money where their mouths are" started by Superfan. It's on Page 2. Perhaps we could move the discussion there or get the threads merged.

It's a good topic but over the past few days there have been lots fo duplicate threads created and it's hard to keep track of what is where. Thanks x
