Some things I don't understand...

Sorry if these are silly questions, but there are some things that are confusing me...

1) What is on the pieces of paper the judges are furiously hiding before giving their comments on each dance?? Surely if it was comments on the dance, there would not be such a rush to hide it until after they have given their comments??

2) How is it decided who does what dance? I thought the female celebrities all did one dance, and the males did the other, but this week, Dennis & Will did the jive, and Patsy did the tango.

i think the notes are from the dance. but they hide them so they have a tidy desk and look more slick

and yes, they started off with men doing one dance, women the other, but there were six men and only four women so it'd be unbalanced

just my take on it all anyway

I think it's most likely that the judges are writing down their scores for each pair of dancers. If you watch Craig just as each dance is ending, he seems to write one thing very quickly on a sheet of paper and then stick it under the desk. This is probably for moderation, to make sure that they are consistent or something similar!

This is probably dependent on which dance or style the professional dancers are best at or specialize in (for instance, Anton mainly does ballroom professionally, not latin) although V is most likely right as well!!!

oh yes, they'll need to have already written down what they think, so they can't be accused of changing their minds if the other judges say something they didn't spot

kind of like an audit. although who'd be auditing their scores i haven't a clue

most likely answer re dances is that there are 4 women and 6 men this week would be unfair if professionals danced to their strengths supposed to be all rounders and do everything (show wise) and darren and lilia only do latin comp wise but do their share of ballroom
