I think the Conway sisters are a complete con,
its totally unfair on the other contestants that
there in the competition at all , seen as they already have a record deal , hit singles in Ireland and toured with
west-life, it's a joke and how convenient that they
happened to sing you raise me up the week b4 west-life
released it , what great publicity for there new song , Simon
really knows what he's doing,.... I hope they go next week !

Completely right decision of Simons to boot out Philip
he was complete rubbish !

Andy, Maria and Brenda for top 3 , keep Chico for as long as possible , he's so funny

I hate Shayne he totally loves himself , can suffer Nicholas and Journey south for a couple of more weeks then they have to go and Chenai needs to stop singing through her nose , and stop crying!

Does nobody else hate the Conway sisters?

The Conways have toured with Westlife. So what? Brenda was a professional singer, Andy was her backing singer, Chenai also has connections in the industry.

The Conway Sisters funded the release of their album on their own, so they have never had a record deal.

It's laughable to come on and accuse people of things, when you obviously have no facts.

But using your criteria Chico has also had a record deal and released a single. Andy and Brenda have been experienced session singers for years too. I remember this fuss was made when Andy Scott-Lee entered Pop Idol 2. Its up to the public to decide if they deserve their place or not and there is nothing in the rules that states that singers who have had record deals cannot enter and so far the Conway Sisters are still in the competition.

Not me I've always thought what the music industry needed was a another group like the Corrs, who cant sing as well, are less attractive, and only do cover versions

I think they're lousy; even the lead singer leaves me cold.

I think they are pretty poor as well and hopefully they will go soon enough.I like the lead singer and the blonde one but the other two are dead weight as singers.

And I do think that Chenai sounds a bit nasal at times.I thought it may have been acoustics but I'm really not sure now.Still like her though.

The whole idea of the X-factor is to win a record deal
not promote one you already have .....
Or to gain more popularity for a sad boy-band that's dying a death ...

I really like them, but realise that I am probably the only one who does

They leave me cold. When they sing together they can pass as a reasonable single voice, but when they sing individually their voices are so thin I expect somethings going to snap.

I agree (although I wouldn't have been as polite about their looks)

Marie has a wonderful voice, the rest average though. I dont hate them, never met them, they seem like nice enough Girls to me however.

I think the Conway Sisters are very cheesey, there ok singers but cant see them selling many records if they get a deal. They are more suited to cabaret, Butlins and places like that.

I thought give Chico a break the first 2 weeks, we all know he can't sing but is entertaining. But now I am bored with him, he is just going to be doing the same thing every week. Go back to stripping mate.

Overall I think this years competition is the poorest bunch of talent of any of these shows. X factor, Pop Idol, Fame Academy etc. Except for, Andy, Brenda & Maria

Last year Rowetta had previously been a backing singer, and as someone has pointed out, Chico has also made records.
They are still allowed in the competition.

Theres no rule which says you can't enter if you have previously had dealings with the music industry.

I'm not saying that anyone with "previous" dealings in the music business should not have a chance , so long as there in the past , as was Rowetta's , andy scott-lee , Andy , Brenda , Chico (I thought he was a stripper) , ect , but the Conways "currently" have a record deal (in the present) which isnt fair ,

a quote from their website "More recently, the girls have spent valuable time in London with producer Simon Hill.

Now, they’re ready to take on the world.

All their music is written by the girls and has being produced by Simon Hill, who has worked with calibre acts such as Kylie Minogue, Seal , Natalie Imbruglia and Natasha Bedingfield."

I thought these girls were Ok , until I read this , but now I'm fuming , I like things to be fair .....

rpm29 gave you facts.

You even repeated the same fact in your post that I've highlighted.

I don't hate the Conway Sisters, but I think they're very weak, I thought their lead singer was very poor last Saturday, and they just do nothing for me.

They are just like a cliched Irish girl band grown in a laboratory from the genetic waste from the untalented, unwanted, DNA of "The Nolan Sisters", "Bewitched", and "The Corrs".

I like them. They deserve to be there and deserve to do better than some of the driftwood that's still in the competition. Marie has a lovely voice but Sinead has a better voice and has been underused until this Saturday because her voice is not as commercial.

I like the Conways Sisters, hope they do quite well although I dont think they have much chance of winning

I think all the above goes to prove that the finalists' selection was not as random as the X Factor's producers would like us to believe. Given all their past associations to the companies/persons involved (not to mention, other contestants both past and present), the chances of them all being picked at random from 75,000 applicants are next to impossible. Of course they were pre-selected as this is the only logical explanation left! The X Factor has made fools of countless hopefulls who thought they stood a chance at the auditions and completely wasted their time. Finally, I said this once before and I'll say it again, the real stars of the X Factor are the comedy acts that they found in order to boost their ratings during the audition rounds! Lottie's at it again to win!!!
