I'm new to all this but has anyone had tickets for SCD for this series? I got some this time but unfortunatley didn;t get in! I'm not sure that the tickets state correctly the timings but I would be intersted if anyone ahs any views on this.
BTW I want Darren and Lillia to win!!!

I would love to get hold of some tickets. I have been before to the Studios in London to see Noel Edmonds, I have also been in the Green Room because I too didn't get in to see the show I wanted. However, do you go through the same channels as other shows for the Beeb.

Yes i just looked on the BBC ticket website and saw them - just had to phone up and book but was limited to 4 and only 1 lot per person so you couldn;t get for more than 1 date. Haven't seen any on there since though - not sure if they've done the ones for the final yet?

I got 4 tickets for the first show on the 15 and luckily got in!! The tickets stated that doors open to premises at 5pm and studio doors 6pm but I was phoned and recieved a letter from the BBC to say times had been brought forward by half an hour. I arrived at the BBC at 3pm and was number 86 in the Queue. There was alot of disappointed people as so many didnt get in;think only 100 people actually got into the studio. It does state on the ticket to get there early as they over-allocate tickets., and having a ticket does not gaurantee entrance.

you must have been lucky - they took out ticket stubbs and said they'd send more tickets out but I doubt whether they will be for SCD. There were people crying cos they couldn;t get in. Poor people!!! I was annoyed more than anything cos I knew I wouldn;t get home in time to actually watch it!!!!

Any idea how to get tickets for the final?

Last year I didnt see any tickets advertised for the final unfortunately so not sure what happens there! Maybe its just friends and familes of all the dancers and celebrities?!?
Last year I applied for tickets for SCD but didnt receive any, but I then recieved a letter saying as I wasnt fortunate in getting tickets for SCD would I be interested in tickets for Strictly Ice Dancing, (that was on last Christmas) of course I said "yes please! " So you never know, you may well be lucky enough to get tickets for a later show.

I dream of a day when i cud get ticket to go see a strictly come dancing show **swoons** however with me living in Newcastle its not practical to go all the way down there when i might not even get in

I didnt no that was the way it worked and here was me planning to come all the way from Dublin for the next series and what if I didnt get in that just wouldnt work. I'd have to turn up the night before and camp out and I am so obsessed I probably would lol! P.S DARREN AND LILIA/ZOE AND IAN 2 WIN!

If you're coming from Dublin then I'd make sure you had a back up plan or you could be disappointed unless you are prepared to weait outside the Television Centre all day. I think thats the only way you would guarantee to get in. You never know they might feel sorry for you if the weatehr is bad and let you watch them rehearsing!!!

I was really lucky and got tickets to see last week's show 29/10.

We were told to be there early and arrived at 2.30pm to be let in at 4.45pm. Some people in front of us got there at 12 noon. We were given numbered stickers when we got in and were 51 and 52 (I think). We got in but some of the people behind us didn't.

It's a real lottery how many public they let in. Most of the seats are used for family/friends of the dancers/celebrities (understandably), and loads of seats were reserved for 'production' people. Out of about 30 on our balcony only about 6 of us were public.

The tickets were advertised on the BBC SCD site and you had to ring up for them. Then it is pure luck if you get sent any tickets as they are sent out randomly to people who applied. I have a relative who works for the BBC but doesn't get any priority over any other public requesting tickets!!

Are you saying you could have a ticket and still not get in? Seems a tad unfair for those who have travelled miles.

I think they overallocate tickets to ensure that even if some people don't turn up, seats are still filled.

But to overallocate to that extent (where people queueing for hours still don't get in) seems silly.

My thoughts exactly - especially when we didn't get in. i did think about complainging but then changed my mind as I'm sure the BBC wouldn;t care seeing as they filled all their seats. Does seem a bit of a shame that there are so many fans out there who would love to come and see the show but can;t cos there aren;t any tickets.

I would love tickets but unfortunatley do not know how to get them myself. And vote Colin and Erin!!lol

I know tickets for the first five or six shows were advertised on the BBC website before the show started, but do any of the public get tickets to the shows after that?

Has anyone on here got tickets for the shows in December? And if so, how did you get them?

I know they've allocated them all so this is for curiosity only, I'm not hoping to get some myself. Just wondered if they're all reserved for participants' friends/families and other celebrities or if real fans get to go as well.

i have just read on the BBC website that there are no more tickets for any of the shows, including the christmas special so sorry guys! They also aren't doing a show from blackpool this year

My daughter applied for and got 4 tickets for the show on 12/11/05 and they arrived about a week before the show. I was suprised when I read that having a ticket didn't guarantee admission.Living in the north of England we decided to make a weekend of it and booked 2 nights hotel in London. Come Saturday the decision was made we've come all this way we'll just have to queue a long time to see if we can get in.We turned up about 3 hours before doors open and were about 15th to 20th in the queue.The time flew past and getting towards door opening time a cameraman came out and filmed the people waiting. This was used on Monday nights show.
Once we were let through the audience entrance we got blue numbered stickers on our tickets. WE WERE IN TO THE SHOW. I did spot later some people were getting yellow stickers.We had a coffee in the waiting area and were then called forward to go to studio 1. By now you can imagine the excitement. We queued for a while outside the studio and spotted Pattsie in her purple number. Ian shot past to the loo. Brendan was spotted aswell.Then we were let into the studio. We walked right round behind the curtains and were shown to some seats upstairs above the judges. we were on the back row as all the front seats were reserved for production but we still had a good view. We cheered and clapped for the warm up man then Brucie came out and said a few words and sung.Once the show started it was bliss. I can't describe how fantastic it was to be there.
We were in the studio around 4 hours and after the results show the dancers stayed on the dance floor and signed autographs my daughter got nearly everyone I think, all very friendly.
I could have written acres of stuff about our night at Strictly Come Dancing it was so enjoyable.I'd be off like a shot if I got chance to go again.
To all the people who are still to go to SCD I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. It's something that will last with me forever

I'm guessing that as dates were getting filled, new dates were released but didn't make it as far as the website. I'd be surprised if there were no public for the last 5 shows. Although the final could well have no public. I went to the final of SDF, and there were only a handful of public at that.
