Anyone had this problem with Motorola V3
Good evening to you all.
Have an annoying problem with my V3, and according to O2 Online, it is a problem with the phone. If I call any number, landline or mobile, I cannot hear anything through the handset. I cannot hear the other end ring, or indeed their voice when they answer it. However the phone their end does ring, and they can hear everything I am saying. Similarly, if they call me, my V3 rings however when I accept the call I can then hear nothing my end. Strangely they can still hear everything their end. Now if I call them, or if they call me, if I put it onto speaker phone then I can hear every word they are saying. I have contacted O2 Online and after confirming that it works perfectly ok if I put my Sim card into another 02 phone, they have told me that it is a fault with the phone. They have told me to take into an O2 shop with receipt, and they will send it off to be repaired, either that or I will receive a new one (9 months old). I phoned my local 02 shop to confirm this and they said that this is indeed correct and I would be given a Nokia 3100 as a replacement until returned/repaired. Shame really as I was hoping it was possibly a setting somewhere that I had inadvertantly altered, however possibly have to resign myself to the fact that I shall be using my first ever Nokia come tomorrow. Has anyone else had this fault ? Regards James |

I don't have a V3 myself, but this isn't the first time I've heard about Motorola phones and this problem.

I had a similar problem with a Sony Ericsson but that was caused by a relative knocking a glass of wine over it
