I really like my Thomson DHD4000, have had Thomson set-top boxes since freeview launched. My one year warranty for the DHD4000 runs out in December 16th so does anyone know whether there will be an update by then? The box has had missed recordings where the recording item just disapeers from the record list when the record time has been reached. It also suffers from the widescreen problem which is really really annoying, so annoying that I don't really watch the channels that have the prob.

I'm wondering whether I would be better just to cut my losses and take it back and swap it for something else which does what it is designed to do. What does everyone else think?
