Took them enough time but they have finally started to compete with o2. Cant see where it says about free calls on the 300 texts a month tho?

Im pretty sure this makes orange the most compeitive in the PAYG market does it not

Anytime free texts, plus the extras if you need more... plus free data... Plus £1 a day unlimited data... and all the calls extras... Very good, very good indeed. Beats O2 hands down

Oh, the free evening calls to go with the text are mentioned in the "see terms" link

No problem

Actually I'd be fascinated to see what the other networks come up with too now, as I have to say - networks don't usually like the word "unlimited", yet orange has 3 extras with unlimited access - two for calls, one for data - so it could be promising...

It's still 10 hours worth of talktime a month, if you used all that based on the Orange to Orange rate of 15p then it would be £90!

This is really significant as it makes Orange the most competitive network. All those people that only stay with O2 for the texts, can enjoy the free evening calls, free wap access, free reserve calls, topping up from only £5 etc.

Me then.... i have been using o2 PAYG for about 2 years now because of the free txts and i bought a S750i last night from Orange because of there great offers. Even the man from o2 giving me my PAC number couldn't believe the price of the phone and the offers they have, he said o2 couldn't match that at present .

Dilemma. Do i change to this plan, or keep my 3000 free evening and weekend texts, and just buy an extra 400 texts to use during the daytime for £12??

It is certainly a good deal from Orange that now makes it sort of rival O2. It's certainly good for those who call a lot to Orange phones off peak and text message a fair bit.

However the offer doesn't include calling landlines, off-net or during weekday mornings & afternoons, so with most of the people I know on O2 I'll be staying with them in the meantime.

I've changed over from the 3000 free texts to the Text Top-Up tariff. I'd never use 300 texts, let alone 3000, and I use GPRS a lot so this is a great deal!

Where does it say Free Evening Orange to Orange Calls for 5 years on the site? Is this offer only available to new customers only as I have a pay and go orange sim.

If I can have all the above for £10 a month, bye bye o2

I have have now left o2

I have just rang orange cs, they were so helpful, reset my sim card as it had not been used in ages then put me on this new tarriff, I cannot get the 5 years free evening calls as this change will occur 30 days after I top up £10.

Glad to be back with orange!

Just rang 453 and I have 300 texts and £4 wap to use until December 1st.

I haven't topped up yet!

So I will be topping up on the 15th of November when my number change from o2 to orange will be processed. Will I not have my monthly allowance until the 1st of December when my current 300 run out or will it automaticallly reset to 300 texts on the 15th?

Guys, please note that the PAYG tariff for the free 300 text top up is 5p more than the 24/7 tariff. ie. 40p/min to mobiles and 20p/min to landline. Also I'm not sure if the cost of buying bundles counts towards your topup.

I know, I've got it running myself but that wasn't the extra I was thinking of...

There's a couple of weekly extras that offer unlimited calls to landlines & Orange mobiles too, either round the clock or off peak, for a weekly charge.

Ha ha - that's very true I've been texting like mad lately, and it's nice not to be having the "why didn't you answer my text" conversation the morning after answering said text...

Oh! That's a good point actually *coughs nervously* then again though, lots of people seem to like O2 regardless, so Orange's good network (and our texts) should be fine

By the way, I never did say - on behalf of Orange: welcome back

That is exactly what i'm hoping will not happen! One fo the main reasons why I choose Orange is because txts actually do get through!
