And I think I might vote him for the first time ever voting for any person on these reality shows. He just seems so friendly and caring of all the other contestents and he is a great entertainer.

That is all I wanted to say

Fiinally, my telepathic powers of persuasion are showing results. Now if I can only be as successful with SULLA and the Walker-Of-The-Dog, but they remain great resisters to the cult of ((MEGA-CHICO-TIME))).

Argh, Thanks melanie, you really cheer me and your support is very comforting.

Have you seen this, are they having a go?

Chico to Win...now that would revolutionize the whole music business, and why not? He has won the right to it. He CAN sing(if not brilliantly! but when was that the merit for winning??) he can dance(and don't say he cant, have you seen how perfectly he wiggles his bum?? )and most of all he is exciting.

Yes I was talking to someone about the bum wiggle the other day, how on earth can someone do it that fast. He's a fun cool guy and I don't care if he's not the best singer, I don't think it would be the same without him

More Chico I say

I'm going out tomorrow night to see Jools Holland and I shall make sure I record the X-Factor 24/7 to see what song they give him.

I really do hope that they play fair and give him tune that gives him a chance to go through for another week.

To be honest I wouldn't mind if he won he cannot sing that well but he is entertaining to watch, I find the favourites Shayne, Andy and Journey South boring, even though they can sing

Me too Gillypoots

Not sure what type of song he should sing though, if he sings a ballad will people be disappointed? I think he needs some more of the same of what he is singing now but maybe with a slightly comical element in it. If he changes too much I think it may be the end of him but if he stays the same people might get bored with the same old same old

What do you think?

Yeah, I really do hope they play fair with him too Gilly. I think I tend to agree with melanie as regards Chico (((MEGA-CHICO-TIME))) continuing to perform big numbers, so he can use up the stage with his fantastic moves. I think it too late for a ballad, and I would feel a tad nervous about his voice holding up.

No, let him stick to what he's good at and that is as showman and entertainer. I read a quote earlier from Nigel Lythgoe, the former producer of Popstars and now exec producer on American Idol, and he said quite openly that AI wasn't just a singing competition. So we practically have it from the horse's mouth, just what TV companies are really interested in, and Chico suits their criteria.

Have at great time at the Jools Holland gig Gilly.

I really hope that when Chico predictably and arrogantly screaches 'What time is it?' on Saturday, the audience heartily shout back 'Hometime!'

Wow never thought of that but I think that's a fab idea!!!

He'd be the life and soul but I do think people would vote him for the worst Bushtucker trials Then again that's not such a bad idea because I think he would take it on the chin and gain respect from the public

Luckily the audience is more friendly towards Chico than that. You can't keep a showman down. He gets out on stage and you can feel the vibe between him and the audience.

As regards the audience, when the camera sweeps around when artists are performing you often see the ones that are obviously nothing to do with whoever is on stage at the time, just standing around looking bored, whilst the supporters go mad.

When Chico comes on, there are more that are clapping and cheering than not!

But he is nothing more than a performing chimp. He is a stripper, hence why he bares his torso every week - he is not a musical artist and he's making a fool of himself. People are not laughing with him, they are laughing at him. The man has done nothing to me and so I wish him well. But he should not be in this competition and the longer the judges keep him in, the bigger a laughing stock he is going to become. Chico - go home, for your own sake!

His being a stripper is not the complete story of his work. If you look at his website you will see that he has worked with a number of artists, such as Monica and Brandy amongst others.

If I were you, I'd look a bit beyond what the tabloids try to feed the public as fact.
