Where would you like to dance and What to?

If you could choose a place and time where would it be?

For me it would be Vienna, in a ballroom doing the Vienese Waltz with James Martin, and playing would be the Blue Danube Waltz.

On stage at Covent Garden, with Irek Mukhamedov, to Prokofiev, in Macmillan's Romeo and Juliet.

Or alternatively, in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom to a live band playing Glenn Miller's In the Mood.

Dancing to the samba beat in the Sambadrome parades of the Carnaval in Rio.

or

Cuban salsa dancing through the night in Havana, Cuba.

Who with? Any dancer who knows what he's doing - I don't really mind, just as long as I can keep up But if I have to choose someone from SCD it would be Brendan, however if I could pick 'anyone', it would be Vincent Cassel (awesome French actor), Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery (circa Goldfinger) or Patrick Swayze (circa Dirty Dancing)

I would like to dance on this glass floored walkway over the Grand Canyon. I'd dance to "1492 - Conquest of Paradise" or "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana.

I don't care who I'd be dancing with, as I would be too amazed at the surroundings, and distracted by trying to stop my jellylegs from collapsing.

Good question!

I'd love to dance at the tower Ballroom in Blackpool, to 'Someone to Watch Over Me' (is that a foxtrot - I have it in my head that it is)

As for who with, well I've got my eye on a couple of choices!!

You can't beat dancing in the rain! Picture a beatiful Victorian building then a few steps away hidden between trees and shrubs is a little pond with little tiny bridges, rain pouring down in a quiet manner, stars & moon in the sky, nature providing the music and you dancing your heart away.

And Yes I'm guilty of it.

got to be the tower ballroom in blackpool for me. i get goosebumps just walking in, there is such a magic feel to it. i love watching the oap's have their tea dances and doing all the proper steps - i get all misty eyed!
so thats where, the music would have to be "last night of the world" from miss saigon, complete with the solo saxaphone - beautiful song, beautiful words

At the risk of being laughed at.... it was my University, Royal Holloway, University of London. Behind the main Founders building was a beautiful hideaway like I described in the other post.

I've always wanted to go to Cuba, so I'd choose Havana and salsa too.

I'd love to go back to the 1940s and jitterbug to "In the Mood" in a packed dancehall of glamourous young couples!

Oooh, yes, good idea. Preferably on the night of VE Day, with lots of men in uniform.
