I agree, they are just so boring.

I definitely don't want to see them at No1 or at all would be good!

No I wont be backing it as I dont like it when she says the word 'Faggot'
Its offensive and should be bleeped out at least.

Lol!

There is nothing offensive about the word 'faggot' in the song! If you look it up, you'll find it means 'old woman' which is exactly what Kirsty is singing about. Isn't she?

There was an article in The Sun today which had Kirstys Mum and Son speaking about her death which is almost 5 years to the day.

They say they would love to see it get a high chart position. And The Sun also said its tipped to get number one.

I would love to hear the song played as Christmas Number 1.

Oh for goodness sakes! There's much worse in music these days. And the apparent 'swearing' is part of the character based song. To hate a song simply because someone says the word 'faggot' is a bit bizarre, in my opinion.

It's my favourite christmas song after Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas", but I can't see them getting no1.

I must admit, I found it rather bizarre initially, not really paying much attention to the context of the song but then I realised 'faggot' just meant 'old lump or heap' or whatever. I can't believe that some people are actually taking it to mean 'gay' as in homosexual. Now thats bizarre!

I believe 16/1 isn't that bad. It seems like its in the running. Although I could be wrong.

16/1 isn't great. It means if you bet £1, you'll get £17 back (£16 winnings plus your original £1). Not a bad bet, but it doesn't seem right to me to profit from a charity record.

Great song, but I may get sick to death of it in shops over the coming month or two

Ive never bet money on a song, just wanted to know the odds of it being no1 because I'd love it to get there. Ive bought cds in the past where proceeds go to a good cause

I love this song. Its so different to every other xmas song. Although it people dont think its a happy song it always makes me happy. Whenever i hear it i think of xmas. And i dont know how people can get tired of it. its only played at xmas. Its not offensive at all. If you take offence dont listen to it. If the bleep faggot out then its PC gone mad. I had no idea this was being re released but im glad i came across this thread. it would be a great tribute to Kirsty.

Definitely agree. It never made xmas no 1 at the time. It would be a great tribute to Kirsty if it made it this time round. Its a little bit different, original, 'alternative' its great - I love it.

This would of been mentioned, but I have missed it and can't find it.

Where are the profits from the song going, what charity?

I hope some of it goes to the Justice For Kirsty campaign to charge the person who killed her with his speedboat. And who is still walking around free.

I like this song and it would be a fitting tribute to Kirsty MacColl if this got to number one. Five years since she died - I remember reading this on the BBC website when it happened, time flies

And considering the amount of bile there is in rap and 'R&B' tracks played on the radio everyday, if the word faggot is bleeped then it will be another victory for the PC zealots
