In the Bill where Des Taviner is driving Sierra One and Reg Hollis operating, towards a warehouse and he crashed it, causing the destruction of the car, he is first seen heading towards it in a 'Y' reg Vauxhall. As he gets closer, it becomes a 'P' reg, then when it crashes it's back to the 'Y' reg again. It will be shown in the next few weeks on UKtv Gold, as yet again for about the 3rd time in a year they are back to near the station fire episiode of 2002 where 6 died.

They didn't even try to hide the plates, the full numbers can be clearly seen head on and and read as it heads in.

Here's a couple from recent episodes of Alias (no need for a description, the pictures speak for themselves):

Photo 1 shortly followed by...

Photo 2

And...

Code 1 shortly followed by...

Code 2

I wasn't even told to look out for these or anything - they just stood out as glaringly obvious at the time!

There is THAT scene in Carry on Camping where Barbara Windsor is doing her "stretching exercises infront of Kenneth Williams

In my one scene, Hattie Jacques is standing behind KW smiling as the girls do their "exercises" wearing nothing on her head.........
in the next scene where Babs Windor's bra flies off, she is standing there wearing a very strange blue teacosy on her bonce!!!

Hattie with and without a hat!!

There was a cock-up the other week in Eastenders when Phill bumped into Ian Beale and threw him to the floor and covered him in a bottle of thick tomato sauce.

A scene later, he is seen with the same jacket, looking no different.

I also noticed the tv with Stacey Slater. I thought it must have been the camera man.

The Bills live episode was filled with bloopers, but i suppose they cant do anything about that with it being live.

I remember a few weeks on Corrie an overhead mic popped into shot in the Platts in a scene between Gail and that foot blokey.

But since it was live, none of them could have been continuity errors.

(Isn't "bloopers" a horrible word? Just another bad Americanism!)

the opening credits to sex and the city...

The bus drives past and splashes Carrie, and it is full of people. She does an over the top expression, then in the next shot the bus is empty!

Now either all those people disembarked a moving bus in 1second, or they used two shoots!

Theres lots in Prisoner Cell Block H (no need for the obvious remarks lol)

1 is during the great fire at wentworth Erica is seen running back inside the prison at the end of episode 326 then at the start of 327 the camera scans outside wentworth and you see her clearly with the other prisoners, safe. Next scene she is being helped out the prison coughing and spluttering by a fireman - now that is a continuity error

Good to see a Prisoner fan on here!
Nice to see continuity comments about Cell Block H, as, yes, it was full of them. Fire scenes were always a hoot to watch. There's a notable one (I think started as a distraction for someone beating up Reb Keane [possibly]) on a bed in a cell. We see the fire lit, on a bed, then it cuts to another scene. When it cuts back to the now-roaring blaze, as well as the fact that we now see a scene shot on film, rather than videotape, it is clear that the cell is made of bone-fide bricks and mortar, instead of the pre-fab wooden brick effect cell wall sets. Ahhh, Prisoner, it was a gem for stuff like that. Part of its charm.

Also, I too saw the phantom reflection in Stacey Slater's TV. At the time I thought I'd imagined it, as it's such a stupid mistake for a soap as big as Enders to make.

Other random continuity errors that spring to mind for me include Withnail & I (my favourite movie) which has a boatload, but perhaps most notably in the motorway scenes. It's set in the 60s. Although there are stock sixties vehicles used close to their Jag, other vehicles, such as Ford Sierras are in shot. Plus, their car has only one working headlight, yet scenes shot through the windscreen at night show two headlight reflections on the road ahead. Another clear balls up is the presence of road signs for the London Orbital ringroad, which wasn't built until the 80s. I could go on, but I won't.

In the first Harry Potter film, Hagrid hands an envelope to a goblin at Gringots' Bank. We see Robbie Coltrane pull a crumpled envelope from his pocket and then we see a close up shot of the envelope, pristine and uncreased in the palm of the goblin's hand!

God, aren't I a sad bugger to notice all this!

Are you refering to the Doreen Burns fire in episode 284 where Steve goes to use the extinguisher that is full of Lizzie's "still" (I must be sadder that I know episode numbers lol)

Classic film- type changing lol

Yep, that rings a bell actually. I reckon it was that fire.
Ten years ago, I'd have been as accurate as you! I used to be obsessed with Prisoner. It's never on any ITV region these days and Channel5 finished with it ages ago.
I used to be a member of the fanclub many years ago. I hear its recently been released on DVD

I've been in the old fanclubs and now get a fanzine update via email run by the original founder of the H Block Herald and SOAP. She is based in Aus now and Ive been a member of Blockade (obsession is my middle name at times lol)

There is a chance of it being released officially but the company involved require a feel of whether is it cost effective to go ahead. goto www.val-lehman.com for more details

Did you ever get to meet any of the stars? I wont divulge who i've met just yet lol

I guess that's Roz Vecsey is it? She was running the 'SOAP' fanzine back in the days I was a member. It was a bundle of photocopies stapled together but I loved it!

I never met any of the stars, but have a copy of a VHS video, shot in (I think Derby, could be wrong) called 'The Great Escape,' where Anna Soubry meets Amanda Muggleton, Val Lehman and Sheila Florence. They tour the town and meet the local mayor etc, before hosting a Q&A session on stage in front of an audience.

I am a former blockhead as well but I came on here to post the continuity error in Eastenders the week before last. My dad was first to spot Ian Beale walking around with a sunburnt forehead in the arches, then a few minutes later cut to the cafe and hes pale as a ghost.

Cell Block H had loads of errors, continuity and otherwise but it was great telly. Another one I remember was years ago when:
Spoiler

Another good prisoner goof:

Spoiler

Re meeting anyone from Prisoner, I haven't met her but I saw Val Lehman in Steel Magnolias at my local theatre and she was very good.

One of the most blatant ones I saw was a a crew following a train journey - supposedly the same journey in real time from end to end. At one point they got to a station and had a look round the station during a 5 minute stop, then when it was time to go again, the ground was suddenly snow covered, and the locomotive had changed, as had the entire set of rolling stock !!!

There's always the Brittas Empire, where the layout of the inside of the Leisure Centre changes frequently - for example the door to the back of the staff room leads to a corridor, a cupboard or staff toilets/showers. Plus the cupboard in the corridor behind the staffroom has several uses depending on the episode - lost property /Carole's bedsit.

The layout would change between episodes. This is not counting the times Brittas blew it up/burned it down/dropped tanks through ceilings etc.

Plus there's the most obvious error about the fire exit in Reception - double doors for exterior shots and single for interior.

A similar example of miscontinuity is the Rovers Return in Corrie which is clearly much bigger inside than outside.

No they're not - they're in a 4 foot space between the Rovers and Number 1. You can see some railings in the space between the two.

Obviously these toilets are for men only and for number ones! No chance of sitting downin a toilet that size!

Those railings were only put there in 1982 though!
