There was an advert for I think mobile phones a few years back, and a woman was seen at various railway stations, with trains whizzing past her as she sat on a seat on the platform.
They also did this emulating Inverness! What's wrong with that I hear you cry. Well, if a train goes past you at about 90 mph into Inverness station whilst at a platform end, it will cause a bit of a carnage as it is a terminus, not one you can 'whizz through'. |

Anyway, a proper one then (though going a long way back) The Daleks' Master Plan The message found on the tape recorder is different from the one left by Marc Cory in the prequel episode "Mission to the Unknown". |

It's obviously one of those sci-fi cliches anyway.

Continuity erros are when things change from episode to episode.
Like birthdays changing dates etc |

Like birthdays changing dates etc These two shots could have been filmed hours or even days apart which is why mistakes like this sometimes slip in. I'm sure thye probably noticed this in the editing stage but couldn't do anything about it. In these days of computers, it would have been easy to correct. |

In The Dalek Invasion of Earth there is supposed to be a 1960s van driving through a supposedly deserted London. This may have been removed on the DVD release though. |

There was an episode of Stargate SG-1 where the patch on Daniel's arm kept moving. Over the course of a single scene it went back and forth from being in the right position to being placed on 45 degrees of from how it should be. Also though it's not exactly a continuity error there's the fact that the Scottish doctor on Atlantis has the Scottish flag on his jacket yet some random English guy who works in the control room or something has a Union Jack on his. Surely either the doctor should have a Union Jack or the other guy should have a St. George's Cross.

I'm loving this thread and all the examples are making me laugh. So why is it that when they have a bloopers show on TV, all they have are people fluffing their lines?

There was a show on five maybe 2 years ago
something like 'Greatest Movie Mistakes' with Rob Deering (?) (does the Strongbow Ads with the travelling bar & the 'ducks of fate') that pointed out such great errors. Edit: it was 'Movie Mistakes Uncovered Uncut' |

In neighbours the Timmins/Lynn Scully's PC monitor is randomly not plugged in. You can often see shots of it from the living room and kitchen for minutes at a time, and there is sometimes a black power cable in the back of it, and sometimes none at all
![]() Funny last week I think it was where she was typing her story and the light was shining on her face, and it wasnt plugged in!! Watch out for it D |

The most frequently seen continuity error is the 'growing cigarette' where from scene to scene someone drags on a fag but then it gets bigger instead of shorter.
My fave error of any kind was in the original Randall and Hopkirk - on ITV4 at 7.00 tonight - where they were showing the view from a plane cockpit as the plane touched down on the airfield. Course these shows were made on a shoestring and they couldn't actually hire a plane just for that shot, so they showed a bit of ordinary road with the camera slowly zooming towards it! Hysterical - but the really funny bit was when at one point a zebra crossing came up! Never even bothered to cut it out! Loved it! |

What I always wondered, though, is how they thought this special effect could have been an accident. Perhaps they thought Robert Patrick really had a third arm...? |
