We've all had a good b!tch here about the HM's behaviour and their game strategy - so how would you play the BB game?
Bitching? Please everyone? Be funny? Keep your gob shut?

I personally think that I would try to keep a low profile and appeal to the public's sense of humour - unfortunately in practice I would probably rip into the first person who said something that annoyed me within the first 3 days á la Lynne and bathe in a chorus of glorious boos on my eviction

Assuming i was in the house..i think i'd be one of 2 extremes....

A. Be the sneakiest game player in BB history. Play it like adele, be subtle, but be much more manipulative. I would try to build a core group.

I think the key would be to keep your perceived fellow likely winners as your 'best' friends.
One thing i would do, would be to push the boundaries a lot.
You know, if i didnt want to be on camera, simple - just get naked. I've always wondered why a few of the Hm's dont do this. I would also make sure i verbally abused the Big brother people every time i was in the diary room - it'd be entertaining i think (for me anyway) - get out all those angry thoughts, hehe.

B. Just be the polite and nice calrissian that i am. I am not entirely sure if this policy would get me through the first week without being booted out.

The thing is that, however, if i was living with jade, i would not be restraining myself at all. I'd tell her just how naive she really is - why do not other people REALLY confront about it ?

Well, I reckon Craig (BB1) was 'nice' I s'pose but not much else to him was there?

Brian (BB2) was 'sweet' and funny, personally I found his campy hysteria enormously irritating.

So mebbe you could say that so far only 'nice' people have won BB, obviously nice being a matter of opinion.

I reckon the reason HM's do not confront Jade is coz they saw her reaction when Adele did it - its always bad form to wake the baby up, doncha know that?

I think giving Jade a slap during one of her more annoying moments (i.e. any time it takes your fancy) would win one many plaudits.

AS for the slapping of jade- i'd be very tempted, but i dont do that sorta thing.

However.....one of my favourite things is to throw things at people. If jade had a go at me, i'd just throw buckets of water at her, and any other liquid that was available.

THey wouldnt boot someone for a bit of spilt water etc.

The sacrifice - the pool is filled up with it, and missy has to swim a few dozen circuits to get the divide down.

First and foremost would be to be honest to myself. That is not because I'm a real goody goody but the truth is it is not possible to carry of an act 24/7 for 9 weeks. The less "false" you are the less likely you are to be picked up on it (caught out by the cameras).

Second, is to remember something my grandmother told me.
"If you can't think of something nice to say about someone don't say anything about them". Again, this has a cynical spin to it. You never give another housemate beans to spill when they decide to "grass you up". If one of them lies about you, claiming you have been insulting then there would be no "history" to give it credibility.

Thirdly, to listen more than to speak. 9 weeks is a long time and there is plenty of space to let the others tell thier tales. Good listeners are hard to come by and most people like them more than good talkers.

Finally, broad shoulders. IMO the public can think what the f*ck they like about me. Boo/cheer is all a response.

Since it seems to be hard to avoid nomination (I mean, even Kate got nominated), I think Priority One is that the public like you. Playing it sneaky, i.e. "working" the other HMs so that they don't vote for you, is pointless, because like it or not you will be up for eviction at some point, and then the public will promptly kick you out (Adele). And anyway, you'll never win the final vote.

So you have two options:

1. Make the public like you more than the other HMs.
If you have an especially appealing and/or interesting personality, there's no problem, just relax and be yourself (Kate, Alex, Brian from BB2). But what if you're stuck with a more run-of-the-mill personality, e.g. Jonny or PJ this year? Neither of them can compete with Kate in the nice+funny+looks stakes, or Alex in the quirky+interesting+looks stakes. Which leads me to...

2. Make the public dislike the other HMs more than you.
If you can't beat them on charisma, beat them by being less hateful. The public like "salt of the earth" types, it worked for Craig in BB1. So, do everything you can, as subtly as you can, to emphasise their bad points to the viewers, and keep doing it. Right now, PJ and Jonny should encourage Alex to whinge as much as possible (shouldn't be too difficult). Kate is a bit more tricky - she's infuriatingly sane and reasonable, but their must be some chink in her armour. They should find it and exploit it, whilst appearing not to.

Whichever path you take, it is in your interest to keep the publicly-unpopular HMs around. They all suspect that Jade is unpopular, so now that it's getting down to the crunch, they should keep her there for the duration. If PJ and Jonny have any sense they'll try to hang on to Tim, too, but it seems the HMs don't realise how much the public dislike him, so he'll probably be the next to go.

Or you could just slap Jade.

I think I've seen Jonny trying to draw Kate into bitching about the others a bit this week - this could possibly be her downfall. He's definitely not as green as he's cabbage looking, maybe his BB research will pay off??

Unlike Lynne I don't get mean when I'm drunk, I just get luv'd up and then puke/fall asleep, unfortunatley I've a deep aversion to stupidity in most of its forms and know I could not tolerate some of the HMs I would be stuck with. I would probably construct an ingenious pair of wings from chocolate wrappers and beer cans and attempt a daring escape, taking the poor chickens with me of course!

I wouldn't have the guts to go on there but my bloke says he'd quite happily enter the house, drink alot, swear alot and be naked 24/7! He has a lovely body and thinks he'd be popular with the general public but that the HM's would dislike his total indifference to everything going on around him! So they could nominate him to their hearts content but the great British public would keep him in!

No offence Josephine, I'm sure your bf is a great bloke (his strategy sounds much like my partners strategy too!)but....

Drinking + swearing - Spencer did all that and more and he got voted out.

Nakedness - no camera time = less public support imo

Spanky had the right idea, play the laid back game, quell any bitching & get on with it (could've used more soap ).

It's a pity Alex & Spanky went head to head, they both got on quite well together, chatted when it was needed but could also leave each other alone to do their own thing.
A mixture of both Spanky & Alex would probably earn the £70k

I know that had Spanky come up for eviction with anyone else he would have stayed in - but I reckon it was his laid back attitude that got him nominated in the first place really, it was interpreted as laziness (which perhaps it was!). Alex could do with being a bit more laid back, but it's his uptightness that I find so funny

I think that Spanky and Alex were such different people that if you tried for a mixture of both you'd end up being committed or something!!
