Well, I can understand why but my feeling about this is much like Celebrity Fame Academy. They might find out they've got a talent they didn't know, but none of these people are trying to make a career out of dancing so if they have a laugh along the way, it doesn't matter. In fact, enjoying it should be imperative and if all you're doing is stressing about it then you're not going to dervice much joy from it.”

I don't think she means that they should be serious in a way that stops them from enjoying it or from having a laugh along the way. (For something about why I think they should take it "seriously", see my previous post in this thread, now somewhat hidden by being on the previous page.)

Sad the way that people these days (in this context Arlene and Craig) are booed, shouted down and ridiculed for telling the truth.

All of the others (except maybe Patsy) are investing a lot more of themselves in each dance, and it shows in the way they perform.”

I see your point Veri but I think some people just aren't able to put themselves into things. Perhaps it's selfconsciousness or inhibition that prevents them but they just don't have the ability to 'lose' themselves. I think this was certainly part of Fiona's problem, as you say she didn't express anything in any of her performances. It makes me wonder again why on earth she agreed to appear in the show, maybe she was hoping it would open up something in her.

Yes i dont know who i get most mad at the crowd or bruce when they tell the judges to shut up when most of the time the judges are trying to help them get better, i dont mind ppl booing when they are being plain nasty, which dus happen. But constructive criticism is useful

I cannot believe Arlene is in her sixtieth year! She looks amazing.

You know, I'm not really a big party-pooper, and I know that all of the booing and hissing is meant to add to the atmosphere, but sometimes it's hard not to think: 'Shut up - you might learn something!'

60!!!!!!! I thought she was late 40's early 50's but not 60's!!!!!! Wow does she age gracefully!

I know I agree about the booing thing and I think the celebs are really trying to listen to constructive critism and sometimes I know they cant hear what the judges are saying because Bill put his hand behind his ear to try and hear the comments. So quit the booing!
