Agreed, I should have said that the Daily Mail was sychophantic to the Tories. I was caught up in my vitriol.
it does seem a bit odd that they're so anti-BB when they've loved it the last 2 years. They're just trying to act like a proper newspaper and the fact is, it isn't I think it's more pathetic than BB is!
Plus a lot of their readers must love BB, it being a tabloid... stupid
And The Sunday Mirror doesn't share the same view, today there is an interview with Adele - I thought they weren't supposed to care? I realise they're the same newspaper but it's a bit odd that they're not working together with the same view

the main reason the mirror slags off bb is..
last year they backed brian to win and made a campaign out of it against the sun(who backed helen)
brian then spoke directly to the sun, mirror has sour grapes.
i like the mirror, and despise the sun but i do feel that its stance on bb has been dumb, especially as so many people are following it.

The Mirror is a crap paper anyway. They say how they are so anti - BB but if there was a major story that happened in BB (unlikely I know!) they would be bound to cover it as an 'exclusive'!!!

The adjective describes the characteristic of a sycophant (a servile self-seeking flatterer).

Persoanlly I read the Guardian because I like the occasional bit of news with my celebrity tittle-tattle. Private Eye is a good read as well (I presume the foetus in question is Ian hislop is it?) - If it comes down to how people behave and how they look then Jade is truely a thick pig

If the Mirror REALLY wanted to be anti-Big Brother it would ignore it completely. But because a large constituency of its readership watches the programme regularly the paper has to acknowledge that.
The Mirror styles itself as the "official" anti-BB paper, but continues to write about the show EVERY day. (which is more than you can say for the Mail or any of the broadsheets) So even at the risk of antagonising the BB fans, the Mirror acknowledges their existence and that of the programme.
And yet maintains the pretence of being above all that by sneering at the whole concept and insulting the HMs - most of whom deserve it.

Yes, but I find it so annoying that it is trying to say - 'oh, were so much better than the programme/housemates/viewers who dare to watch it'. For this reason, I cant read it, it infuriates me.

I cancelled my delivery of the Mirror a few weeks ago, after their ridiculous anti-bb stance, where they would just insult all the HM's regardless of whever its deserved or not.
Mind bogglingly bad and dishonest jouranalism. They state 'BB this year is a failure and should be taken off the air now, ring this number to get it taken off'
HA!..its getting 40% more viewers this year!!, whatever one things of the producers tactics, whatever they are doing to wind us all up, its working and is more succesfull(as far as ch 4 are concerned) than the previous 2 BB's.
and as for Dominic Mohan in 'the sun'..what a nasty bit of work thay guy is. at least the suns main BB reporting section (NOT Dominic Mohans section) is a tad more restrained then the Mirrors.
