I may watch Coronation St but will stick with the BBC for everything else. I think most people stick with the BBC for Christmas as it normally serves up some good TV. Can't wait to see David Tennant as the New Doctor.

Yes, I agree with that. I think the BBC does generally seem to have the best stuff on over Christmas. The best films, the best specials, the best line-up...

We usually stick with the BBC in my household. I always make sure I tape Corrie though, so I can watch it later.

This year, I'll be watching the BBC film (even if I've already got it- it's tradition in our house to sit down and watch the film together as a family after having our Christmas lunch!), Eastenders, Doctor Who and French & Saunders. Whatever is on the BBC, basically!

Let's see.... If I'm able to watch at all - and still in a sober state - then my personal choices would be;
6.25 EE
7.00 Dr Who
8.05 EE till 8.30 then swith over to Corrie and tape the last 10 mins of EE
8.35 - 9.35 Corrie 'live'
Tape the GG Grass and go searching for what's on Ch4, 5 or any of the channels on Freeview (I can't STAND Bad Girls )
10.30 ish - go on the net and tippety type on DS about the nights viewing

Midnight(ish) - off to bed

I doubt the BBC and ITV would go head to head with EE and Corrie - EE always wins plus BOTH shows ratings will be down

ITV never make much of an effort for Christmas because the advertisers have spent all their money. The BBC do because we're paying them to. And .pad, I must say I'm loving some of your recent threads.

Mine is for ITV1:

Christmas Day
6.00pm Harry Potter
8.15pm Coronation Street
9.15pm Ant and Dec's Christmas Takeaway
10.15pm Parkinson At Christmas
11.15pm ITV News
11.20pm Film

I think maybe Emmerdale could take a break for Christmas and maybe offer viewers less soaps perhaps. Just a thought.
