No, he was away at his mother's funeral in the West Indies when 24/7 were filming the rehearsals.
We'll probably find out tonight on Xcess All Areas. |

If he is on it that is he said SEE you Saturday! So lets hope Ben announces it if he is not there.

he is at a disadvantage this week |

Slightly OT - but was a bit puzzled about Andy's mum.
Said he was going to the West Indies for her funeral, but he'd not been back there since he was 6, when he left to come to the UK. Did his mum move here with him and then move back? Guess she's been over here to visit - but he hasn't been over there? How long since he's seen her ? Not really important. Just wondered. Last edited by Jeanie : 04-11-2005 at 17:53. |

Andy was missing from the Friday Xtra Factor show a couple of weeks ago and it was said then that he had gone to his mothers funeral. I wonder if that occasion was a service for friends and relatives here and her body has now been flown to Grenada for burial and a service there.

Zelena - I think you're right.
I too wonder what he'll be singing. While I think hes safe from the bottom 2 unquestionably, I want him to do very well and a lot hinges on the song choice. |

Any which way, must be a really distressing time for him - and not easy dealing with his grief along with the stress of X-factor as well as being separated from his family. Poor Andy. |

Don't like this for Andy. I think he'll get the same comments he got in week 2. It's a step back for him.

Is it an age thing, cos I just heard him rehearsing, and thought it was fantastic, maybe because I loved, and had the original.
![]() I thought Nicholas sounded awful btw. |

I thought he sounded great on the sound check.
Nicholas however should leave the building to protect our ears. |

![]() I thought Nicholas sounded awful btw. Haven't really liked Andy much at all so far but tonight he sounded warmer, more relaxed and seemed like he was finally putting a bit of personality into it. I predict he'll do very well tomorrow. |

Totally agree with Dome - Andy sounded much much better than I've heard him before.

I love Andy..but he needs another song where he can really open his voice up, rather than sing on one key, tone and level.

Andy was alright but that song may be far too 'cabaret' for my liking. Nicholas was terrible.

For me this is the wrong song but he sang it beautifully.. but that is not the point this is REALLY an old mans song.. with a jumper and a rocking chair and that is how it will be remembered sadly..
For me Dancing on the Ceiling Lionel Ritchie in fact any Lionel song would suit hiim better than this.. I like Andy I love his voice I would buy a CD that is the point but not of the wrong songs.. SHARON wake up this man CAN DANCE... GG |

Andy needs a bit of Stevie Wonder or Billy Joel....something that starts off slow and on one level and then he can belt it out.
He needs a belt it out song..him and Brenda are similar in that...they need to open their lungs up on a song. |

Not the best choice, but he sounded great, I hope he pulls it off!
