Me too Welshbabe! I didn't think I would be but I am. I was so elated that Bill & Karen were safe and announced first that I just assumed it would be Dennis and Izabella. I didn't realise I would be gutted and upset! It's such a shame when it happens when they show improvement too. It wouldn't have been so bad if she had been completley bad. There was a glimmer of hope!

I was actually glad they went out - thought it was about time. I'm no big fan of Fiona Phillips but I did feel sorry for her being stuck with Brendan, that man's arrogance knows no bounds.

Fiona should have stayed rubbish. She got too good.

Just realised I'm in the minority here.

I third the notion if that can be said lol. I am so disappointed. Other people were like yay they've gone but I truly feel gutted about it. She looked so great in the dress and her routine (the bits I saw) looked really good. I love Dennis as well but I thought he would have gone. At least now Fiona's at peace lol but that bit of the show that she gave us is gone forever now.

Poor Brendon. I never thought those words would escape my mouth but I really felt for him. He looked so annoyed and so disappointed. I think he really wants to win it again and if they do another series I bet hes gonna demand someone with maybe Jill's capabilities.

I've been hoping that Fiona and Brendan go for a long time now but tonights result still shocked me and I felt bad when I saw how gutted Brendan was. Then I thought about how bad they've been and how ungracious Fiona was about Dennis tonight and thought it was best that they had gone out.

I am shocked too.. I really thought Dennis would go. Fiona improved so much this week especially the start of the routine, I thought she was great tonight.. of all the weeks to go she shouldn't have gone this week.

I am sorry to see Fiona and Brendan go. It won't be the same without them. She was trying and I wanted to see more of her progression. They will be missed.

Well I'm glad she's gone, it would have been a slap in the face to the other celebs if she had stayed over any one of them.

And I'm sure her kids will be grateful too...

Yes, but she only asked that after she realised she had said (a few too many times) that she had Dennis to thank for not being bottom. On other weeks, no other couple has kept harping on about how grateful they were that Fiona and Brendan were worse than them.

I happy really happy they are out, it should have happened in the first week.

Have you see that whoever is in bottom place with the judges has been saved by the viewer vote, so it not a bad thing coming bottom.

I don't think she meant it in the way that you took it...I honestly thought it was a throw away line that was slightly amusing.

You're probably right - it's hard to be careful about everything you say on live telly - she's not a politician after all. Still, Brendan rolled his eyes when she said it but then that's Brendan and I'd rather not be as harsh as him!

No Brendan laughed in a "I can't believe you said that" kind of way

I cant quite believe I'm saying this but Im gutted that Brendan is out, he looked so sad and disappointed tonight when their names were called, and so obviously wanted the ground to swallow him up so he could disappear and not do the last dance.
Fiona had improved which was good but she was holding him back, he hasnt been able to show his full potential except in the exhibition dances, hope he gets a better chance next time. And how fast can that man move, his samba was incredible, mind you little diddy Darren Bennet was pretty hot too, as was Ian and his chest

As I have just posted on another thread, thank goodness they have gone. I for one will not miss brendan one bit. The sulky ungracious way he took being voted out really was typical. All the other male professionals took defeat really well, and managed to smile and make nice comments about their celeb partners, even if they did not feel like it. They were all professional and polite and kind. Surely Brendan could have made some sort of effort, or could it be that he is too self-centered to do so?

Brendan looked well hacked off, I think he thought he was on to a Christopher Parker-type thing. He looked really ungracious as he took to the floor for the final dance, i don't think he deals with disappointment well. My mum and I were calling him rude names for ignoring Fiona!

I'm glad that she went out on a high. The foxtrot was her best dance, so I think she'll be happy that just once she managed to do OK. At least she had that chance before she went. I think Brendan will make up with her once he's finished sulking.

I did notice Camilla giving him a commiseratory kiss at the end, it's good that they've managed to be friends again.

Brendan wears his heart on his sleeve. He is just showing his true emotions rather than being false. He probably wasn't snubbing Fiona, just really disappointed to go. Remember he was nearly in tears last year.

I'm not surprised Fiona has been voted off, but I did think they were better last night than previously .

Thank God they were voted off - it was becoming painful to watch. And I'd started to fear that they were getting a huge "British underdog" vote that was totally unfair on better dancers - remember they got more votes than Will last week. That was just ridiculous.

I adore Brendan (most of my reasons are unsuitable for public consumption) but boy, did he get a dud partner this year. She simply had to go. She seems a lovely person - I think her "dig" at Denis was just a slip of tact, we've all done it and wished we hadn't - but she is a terrible dancer, and she had no place being in that contest any longer.

Denis was pretty bad last night, but we've seen in previous weeks that he has more natural musical awareness than Fiona. That said, he's still the worst of the remaining bunch and he will probably go next week.

Although Fiona did better than Dennis last night I think she wasn't as good over the whole series and I'm relieved she's gone at last. My wife, with 40 years experience of dancing, did wonder at one point last night if she'd been fitten with casters and Brendan was pushing her around.

Don't know about 'Ballroom' Bill - in the last two shows he's danced more like 'Bungalow' Bill, or perhaps like a man at a party with one drink too many inside him. Lots of misapplied effort.

It's a shame they went last night because I really like Brendan and Fiona.

But at least they went out with a bang - geddit - Bonfire night - Bang!
