What would be your best (and worst) dance?

This occured to me when watching the pros do the samba last night. Blimey, I wouldn't want to do that. It looks like one of those dances where, unless you do it very well indeed, you look like a total ****.

I'm not a dancer but I've done enough diving/gym/trampolining to think that I'd enjoy the jive. Dunno if I'd be any good at it, but I'd love it! I'm also very short, and those kickabout dances seem to suit shorties.

For similar reasons, I'd be utterly rubbish at the tango. I just don't have the limbs for it.

And the samba just makes me afraid, very afraid. That said, I may enjoy it for the same reasons that I think I'd enjoy the jive. I guess you don't know until you try.

Ohhhhhh I wanna learn to dance.... you think Darren Bennett's got any free weekends coming up? He's the only one short enough for me

i do think the samba is another dance that will favour the tall couples

so i see zoe and ian shining out if they get to do it.

james and camilla could also look pretty stunning. and you can bet your bottom dollar dazzler will take it on well

for me, i think i'd be much better at ballroom than latin. i'm tall (5'9") and i think the ballroom dances favour the taller person and the latin favour the shorter

obviously i'm talking through my bottom as i have no real clue

I really have no idea...and very little dancing ability so I'll just take a yay-it's-Sunday type guess.

I suspect that the jive would be very difficult for me, it looks quite complex and very quick (although I do have series 2 and Darren and Jill in mind when saying that, they were exceptional!)

The Tango would be my kind of dance, I love the passion and the beauty of it and think that it's probably something I could throw myself wholeheartedly into.

I actually really fancy having a go at the tango, I just think I'd be bad at it. I can't act, and I'd never find a partner the same height as me - unless I danced with an 11-year-old boy, and 11-year-old boys are probably not cut out for the tango.

The jive does look difficult but that's part of the attraction. Also you could really get your rocks off... it's the latin equivalent of bangin techno!

Worst - anything that was quicker than a gentle stroll and lasted for more than 30 seconds.

Best - probably doesn't exist

(I'm old and unfit!)

I'd love to learn the Quickstep and the Cha Cha Cha but in reality I'd be useless at all dances that involve having a fixed smile.

So probably I'd be best at the miserable Paso Doble but as I'm opposed to bullfighting, my dance would end with the bullfighter (man) dead on the floor and the bull (lady) kicking him in the groin.

I'd love to have a go at the Tango; although I'd probably resemble Groucho Marx more than anyone else doing it.

Worst would have to be any of the Latin dances, as I can never seem to manage to move both my feet & hands at the same time without making a total hash of it.

i would love to do the jive because it has loads of energy and i think i'd have a ball doing it, however i'm 6ft so i'd probably muck it up.

i think i might be ok at the foxtrot, cha cha cha and quickstep

I reckon I could doa good Foxtrot or Tango or Jive, because I know them all already.

I would probably pull off a convincing tango, but my worse dance would be something like the paso doble.

I dance and while I love watching Latin I just don't have the confidence on the floor to do it properly so I don't always do as well in that as I do in Ballroom. But Ballroom would be my fav even though I'm only 5"2!

the only thing i can actually do well on a dance floor is pretend to be keith from the prodigy..so i doubt i'd be able to do anything well..haha..although i'm hoping it won't be long before i can tango

I'm learning the Samba in the new year so I reeeeally hope I don't look dumb. Aside from that I'd love to be able to do the Cuban salsa. Then I could go to both Brazil AND Cuba and fit in

I think the loveliest dances are the Waltz and Foxtrot if you're in the arms of the right guy, but otherwise could be a bit 'tame' in themselves.

The Jive and the Quickstep would be the most harmless fun though!

Worst would be the rumba - I don't have the life experience to pull that one off, ditto Paso Doble.

I'd love to quickstep or jive, and I think they'd probably be the best of a bad bunch for me.

As for my worst...I think the waltz would be pretty disasterous...or the foxtrot. I'm not so great with the elegance and grace thing.
