Converting PAL I to PAL B/G

I want to distribute the PAL I UHF outputs of a Sky-digibox around the home. Unfortunately the tvs I have are PAL B/G compatible, hence no sound. Can anyone suggest a solution? When I was in Spain I seem to remember that looping the outputs through a VCR solved the problem, but I can't remember the details. Are there any cheap modulators available?
