judges passing notes
Hil

Hi

Has anyone noticed when a new act starts Bruno gets a piece of paper and I believe scribbles on it during the act's performance?

he then passes it over the table and Len, Arlene and Craig tick or write something on it.

When the dance is over Craig tries to hide it under the table. The camera has caught them doing this several times. I noticed it the previous two weeks as well.

Can they not rely on their own thoughts to make a judgement? Or do they have to compare notes to make sure they are not making fools of themselves over technical issues?

I know the scores do differ from judge to judge but I think there is some correspondence going on to make sure they don't differ TOO much.

I had noticed, but I wondered if they just each write down their score as a record or something.

Don't know why that'd be necessary though!

I heard that they write down the scores they are gonna give on a piece of paper and then it gets given to the runners to give to the producers, so they know what is coming and they can put the right score up on the screen.

Personally I think it's Len writing down a couple of technical step names for the other judges so they don't sound like they don't know as much abut Ballroom.

I think they influence each other by this method.

I think they are writing down their scores as it says in the SCD book that they have to find out before so they can put it up on screen.
