Okay, so there was a lot of bickering over the judge's song choices this week. If you were given the chance, what songs would you let the contestants sing?

Shayne - I Believe In A Thing Called Love (The Darkness) - As Much as I hate that song, he wants to sing it, or another Uptempo song like Uptown Girl.

Nicholas - If There's Any Justice (Lemar) - He Keeps getting compared with Lemar so I'd give him this.

Maria - Man I Feel Like a Woman (Shania Twain) - Another Uptemp song for her, I prefer her singing these than ballads.

Brenda - Still Thinking

Andy - Dancing on the Ceiling (Lionel Richie)

Chico - Still thinking for him too

Journey South - Always And Forever (Luther Vandross) - I love the song and I think they'd sing it great.

The Conway Sisters - Never Ever (All Saints) - They obviously want to sing something by these, so I'd let them and see what they did with it.

Brenda - Never too much, Luther maybe try something a bit more modern by Mary J Blige, Family Affair.

Chico - Word up or Dancing in the Moonlight

Nicholas - Time To Go By Lemar. Oh sorry, Time 2 Grow and then it really is ''time to go'' for Nicholas so he can go out on a high.

Maria - Anything upbeat, and something that will get the crowd involved and loving her and the crowd at home voting for her.

Brenda - I Will Always Love You. I think this would be an interesting song for her to experiment with but her and/or Maria both have the voices for this kind of song.

Andy - Haven't got a clue, I don't really like him.

Chico - YMCA. Just think it would be funny seeing him do the Chico version of this.

Journey South - Day's Go By. It has recently been sung by Keith Urban but I think it would be perfect for these two.

The Conway Sisters - I'm In The Mood For Dancine. They're just like the Nolan Sisters which is a bad thing because we don't need anyone like that.

I know I'm really going to show my age in my song choices for the crew, prompting flames of idignation from the under 25s no doubt, but I can't help that!

I'd be quiet happy for Shayne to sing anything by Darkness, as this could enhance his chances of leaving - judging by his last darkness offering, so...

Shayne: anything by the Darkness, two if he wants

Brenda: "Becos the night", just to get her away from the large soul-singer thing and give her a bit of variety.
Maria: Love is a battlefield - see how she handles something with real b*lls

Nicolas: I don't think he's a particularly great singer, but I think he has a lot of style, or could have given the right songs. I think his voice would really suit Stevie Wonder, but as I don't much like Stevie Wonder I think I'd like to see him do "Love is in the Air" - another oldie! Of course, he may prefer to do Eminem. It's hard to know what style he wants to be...

Conways: I wonder if they could handle something by an old 70s band called Heart. You have to remember that 70s bands didn't quite have todays recording technology, so they really had to be able to sing! I'd like to hear them do "Crazy on You" because I think the lead singer could handle it, and hopefully the others could manage to make a harmony out of it.

Chico: "The Birdie Song"

Journey South: Oh go on, give them a big pile of cheese, give them "Unchained Melody" (personally I hate the song, but seeing as they've already been compared to Robson and Jerome - fingers down throat - they might a well...)


Andy: if Nicolas doesn't do "Love is in the Air" then Andy should. It's very bland, just right for him.

Oh dear, I've just insulted both Nicolas and Andy with that song haven't I? Maybe Chico should have it... no I think he should stick with "The Birdie Song"
