I have the winner for Shayne it has to be Yellow, Coldplay. He would seriously kick bottom with that song.

As for the Conway Sisters I recommend White Noise by the Stiff Little Fingers

Funniest thing I've read all day, especially now because I have that image stuck in my head! The sad thing is, he'd probably do it, willingly.

I have to say that the suggestion of Smooth by Santana for Chico is nothing short of inspired! Great choice.....wish I'd thought of it first!

Or what about "Axel F" by the Crazy Frog for Chico.

He might be the one person alive to be more annoying than the Crazy Frog!

I have a suspicion that they're reserving that song for the final. It would be cheesy as anything but would probably win it for them.

Journey South HAVE to sing an acoustic version of Extreme's ' More than Words'.

They would be brilliant at it.

The Conway Sisters have to sing 'Far Far Away'

Infact the further the better

Great song choices, everyone of them spot on, and if not End of the Road for Nicholas, then Craig David- walking away, that would really suit him.

Its about time they all did lesser known songs.
I would say:

Chico - No Time (Frente). He could add an extra verse about it being Chico time.

Maria - Extraordinary Machine (Fiona Apple)

Brenda - Amazing Grace (well...she reminds me of a gospel singer)

Andy - Bird on a Wire (Leonard Cohen)

Shayne - Flowers in December (Mazzy Star)

Nicholas - Your so Vain (Carly Simon); suits his personality.

Journey South - Change your world (Martyn Joseph)

Conway Sisters - Runaway (Corrs)

Its not about covering 20 year old classics, its about selling records today! Maria & Nicholas have great potential in this field.

Maria - These Words by Natasha Beddingfield

Nicholas - I'm Sorry / Rewind
by Craig David

if they both sing contemporary hits, they will both get to the final.

But beautiful-aguliera, and you remind me-usher as previously suggested are also good!

Maria - I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston or Best Of My Love by The Emotions or Show Me Heaven by Maria McKee.

Brenda - Anyone Who Had A Heart by Dionne Warwick or Band Of Gold by Freda Payne or Heatwave by Martha and The Vandellas.

Andy - Lady Soul by The Temptations or Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross or When A Man Loves A Woman by Percy Sledge.

The Conway Sisters - Superstar by Karen Carpenter or Eternal Flame by The Bangles or California Dreaming by The Mamas and the Papas.

Chico - Its Not Unusual by Tom Jones or Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson.

Shayne - Careless Whisper by George Michael or Angels by Robbie Williams.

Nicholas - Part Time Lover by Stevie Wonder or I Swear by All-4-One.

Journey South - More Than Words by Extreme or Weather With You by Crowded House or Losing My Religion by R.E.M.

Ooh yes, Superstar for the Conways! That could be quite good.
Was thinking over lunch, Shayne needs a contemporary song, how about something by Keane, like Bedshaped, or This is the Last Time.

I've had a couple of ideas but the rest I'm just quoting good ideas I've read in this thread!

Chico - Word Up

Maria - Beautiful - Christina Aguilera

Brenda - RESPECT or Son of a Preacher (again)

Andy - don't mean to be mean but I don't care

Shayne - Yellow / She's the one

Nicholas - If there's any justics - Lemar

Journey South - One love / With or Without You

Conway Sisters - Wishing on a star

Conway Sisters- Road to Nowhere (Talking Heads)

... that would be an inspired choice!
