Maria has a raw talent in singing and looks great too. She puts a lot of effort behind her performances and vocals and I admire her.

I don't think so. That's pretty much the opinion of every male I know.
Big boobs but hardly a great shape. Legs that look OK as long as they're in black or flesh coloured tights. A stomach that sticks out as far as her backside and a back that's a little humped, probably from the weight of those balloons - she looks the same shape from the side as she does from the front. Facially her small eyes, long face and high smile line make her a complete moose.

I think she looks a bit like a gazelle.....
I am a woman and I think Maria looks stunning. There isn't a checklist for the perfect body. I think she looks gr8.

Interesting. My husband and I watched the show last week with a 20 year old girl and a 21 year old male, three 16 year old boys and two 16 year old girls.
All the females thought Maria was beautiful - visually and vocally.
All the males thought she was good vocally, but not that wonderful and none of them thought she was even remotely pretty. Lots of derogatory comments in fact - so much so that it caused a few raised voices. Husband thinks she's a 'girls girl' - in other words other women think she's really attractive, probably due to the fact that she is pretty but not too pretty to be threatening, but men find she lacks sex appeal.
My hubby doesn't find her attractive at all.....i don't think she's that pretty either though to be fair-just average....

This is very true.
I mentioned on another thread that she's very popular with women which is usually a surefire sign that she's not attractive.
Also they say that saying a woman who is attainably pretty (ie much improved by the right clothes, hair and make-up) is beautiful is supposed to make women feel better and more confident about themselves.

I think she's very average in the looks department, way too much gums when she smiles for my liking.
I thought she sang much better in the heats and just needs the right song to really showcase her voice range.
Brenda on the other hand has had the right songs chosen for her voice every week so far

Looks withstanding, I find Maria more disappointing by the week. I liked her at the auditions, but I find the judges are OTT with the compliments and IMO, they are not deserved. I HATED her version of 'Beautiful' (I hate that song anyway) and was astounded at the judges compliments.
Boring and getting quite old fashioned - I thought she made the James Blunt song sound ancient. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

i think shes pretty but i dont think shes the prettiest contestant. I think one or 2 of the conways, Chenai and some of addictiv ladies were a lot pretteir than her.
She has got a great voice, i just wish she showed more of her personality.

I think (only of the finalists) all of the Conways, Chenai, Brenda and at least two of the Addictiv Ladies are prettier than Maria.
One thing you could say for Addictiv Ladies is that they had personality.

Back on topic - I'm with those who say nay. She's not beautiful by any stretch (imo) and not remotely sexy. In fact I'm struggling to think of a female artist this year who I'd say was "sexy" - Brenda's the closest, but "sassy" is more appropriate for her I think.

I am female and I think her as attractive. She has a nice curvy body and gorgeous smile. She is attractive..come on.
