Every Jade 'hater' should read this, and read it all.
But probably most people will be too ignorant to take notice because they already have their own little beliefs in their heads and no one but no one will change their views, because as far as their concerned, Jade is Scum. Well their wrong. She's not, but i know who are the scum around here. It's the people who are looking forward to making her life a misery!!

I love this article especially referring to Graham Norton as a "supposed wit", becuase he's not at all witty: he's just insulting.

Most "Jade haters" though probably couldn't read that many words in one sitting...

What saddens me is the thought that before going in to the house she will have instructed her Mother/friends to save all the newspaper articles on her and it doesn't matter how good the public re-building of her is or the fact that she will now probably emerge from the house to cheers she'll be left with a pretty damming scrapbook

Good article ! Never had much time for Graham Norton anyway.
Too easy to say you like her and then follow up with more snide comments as he has.
I've got swept along at times with the anti Jade hysteria but I do feel sympathy for her as well. I agree that when she comes out of the house it will be a huge shock as she does seem too naive to have thought that C4 etc could have stitched her up and allowed the tabloids etc to turn her into some monster.

I feel so sorry for Jade. She is harmless. I mean, what has she REALLY done but be herself - it's really mean. I can only imagine the rough time she had as a kid. I do really hate The Sun newspaper for the abuse they're giving the girl. Besides, you'd have to be really sad to go supporting people like The Sun in abusing someone that you don't really know. And as that newspaper article says, Jade may one day be forgotten about, but she won't forget.

A very interesting and thought provoking article. I feel a great deal of sympathy for Jade although admit to finding it very hard to like her. I find the whole culture of fame and celebrity really sad. How many of these people are truely happy? I'm not talking about 'serious' actors or people who are famous for acheiving something worthwhile, but the more insecure and vulnerable who are notorious rather than famous. You've only got to look at various page 3 models etc. who's trials and tribulations are played out on a daily basis in the tabloid newspapers. To want to be famous just for the sake of fame can reveal terrible insecurities the fame and publicity serve to enhance rather than diminish. Unless you are genuinely talented and can feel good about yourself for those reasons, I've a feeling the disadvantages of fame far outweigh any advantages it can bring.

I especially like the part saying that if you write for the sun, there are dangers in ridiculing somebody because of their lack of knowledge, it's safer to savage her looks"...

The article is a great piece of writing, and completely true. Some posters (especially the one previous to this reply) would do well to take note.

Some people are just so thick on here, dumb and retarded. I mean, whats that all about??? Get the PIG out?? Is it just me or am i the only one who can't see a pig in the house? They all look like humans to me... I always thought there wouldn't come a day when someone actually mistook a human for a pig, thats just too hard to believe!!
What a head case. Mental..

I guess Jade wanted to be in Big Brother because she thought fortune & fame would make her happy. How many celebrities have set on this path to find a better life only to find it leads them to a far worse place than they started off in.

The Big Brother world blurs the lines between reality & fiction sometimes its to forget that people in Big Brother are real people with real lives. We shouldn’t loose sight of this fact.

Agree with you about PJ, not so sure about the other two (tho' I don't like Tim anyway). Remember that Jade was absolutely foul to Alex, so he has no reason to be nice to her or indeed about her.

Well ive never called Jade a pig, but i have stated on this forum that i find her highly irritating, thick etc. But I have to say that in the last couple of weeks, since the booze intake has reduced and since she shifted her loyalties in the house, my view has changed somewhat. OK so she's not brain of Britain but we've seen her as more thoughtful, relaxed and generally pleasant.
Im sure she had no real idea what she was letting herself in for, and the public reaction when she emerges back into her regular lifestyle will be very hurtful at times im sure.
I hope she's well supported and protected, and that those who feel tempted to mock her take a step back and empathise.

I agree with you. I really felt for Jade last night when she, Jonny and PJ were talking on the couch. PJ rejected every single thing she said, even when she was just agreeing with him. He then went on to describe Kate as "hysterical" (as in funny, not looney!) and "gorgeous". This must have been so hard for Jade to hear, especially when she is so systematically shunned by PJ, unless of course he wants some service or other off her. I also do not think Jade is fat. She has a fine pair of legs, lovely skin and would be something to get hold of. I find her quite fascinating to watch, I only wish she would speak more slowly and have more of those eloquent attacks such as the night of the supposed rebellions when she succeeded in making Adele look even more b*tchy and a game player than she was.

Piggy wanted a shot at fame (I've read she was very keen on drama at school), but it's backfired in spectacular fashion and it's ALL her own doing. That's the BB equation, a shot at Z-list celebrity status and just possibly 70K in return for having your life put under a microscope and more or less public ridicule. Why should anyone give a crap exactly? Save your tears for those cute little veal calves and the kittens. Yes that's right, the kittens.

Thanx for posting that piece, I just hope people take time to read it, saddened me. I totally agree with the first few posters on this thread.
I admit I wanted Jade out when she was bitching about Sophie, I was so disgusted by the way she was acting and she seemed to be thriving on the audience she had in Adele, Tim & Alex. I agree things just got out of hand at the height of it all with people saying kill the pig etc...that is just sick. Since the eviction night, and Adele dumping Jade, I have grew to like her and disliked Adele more and more..I posted about this a week or so ago when she was having a chat with Jonny late one night. As for people calling her a pig, I also think that she doesn't resemble one at all and I think she is very pretty, I have done since I first saw her on her application video. I just hope that the hatred dies down when she comes to be evicted.

Other than the occasional passing reference not a great deal seems to been made of the influence of alcohol on an individual's behaviour. Irrespective of background, education, childhood etc. alcohol makes people more prone to aggresive behaviour.

As has been clearly demonstrated on BB Jade minus booze is not an objectionable person at all to the majority of us - it was drunk Jade that we all hated.

Not really sure where I'm this going with this post, it was triggered by reflecting on my own behaviour last night which I'm still coming to terms with. More drunk then I've been in a long time I ended up storming out of a party at a friend's house in an uncontrollable drunken rage. If a stranger had been unfortunate enough to confront me I could have easily bit their throat and drank their blood without a second thought. (Luckily I made it home without incident).

In general I'm a reasonably well-balanced individual: never been in a fight or commited any kind of violent act, normal parents, normal upbringing etc. However, at the moment I'm a complete wreck after having ostracised myslelf from my erstwhile friends and undermined what little sense of self-worth I had. I can't shake the terrifying memory of actually being the abhorrent individual who was occupying my body last night. And I'm having considerable difficulty coming to terms with the fact that I could easily become that individual again in the space of a couple of booze-fuelled hours.

Apologies for this on-line catharsis (and I know I'm stating the obvious with the booze/aggresion link) but at the moment I'm really scared of myself and I've got no-one else to offload all this stuff onto - but anyway, returning to my original point, if you want to try and explain what made Jade act the way she did then look no further than this country's drinking culture.

PS. Turning point for me, just the occasional pint in the pub and a glass of red wine with a meal from now on.

PPS. If my previous posts offended you in any way then may I please add the following disclaimer: vitriol sponsored by Stella Artois.

Never forget that the truth is never allowed to get in the way of any story the Sun runs !!
