EDITED BY SNOWFIRE DUE TO LENGTH
Apologies for this on-line catharsis (and I know I'm stating the obvious with the booze/aggresion link) but at the moment I'm really scared of myself and I've got no-one else to offload all this stuff onto - but anyway, returning to my original point, if you want to try and explain what made Jade act the way she did then look no further than this country's drinking culture.

I think this sums up how many people feel after a particularly heavy night. Almost everyone has at some point in their late teens early twenties had an experience like this. Add that to being put in the public eye 24/7 then give a sprinkling of paranoia that youre not as clever/funny/goodlooking as all the strangers you are now sharing the house with. I dont in any way condone what Jade has done but she is not the Devil incarnate because of it. I still want her out at the first opporchancity but not to a hail of boos and abuse. She just irritates me with her behavio0ur in general. Like a guest whos overstayed her welcome. She is no better or worse than most of us but her mistake came in putting herself into this programme and expecting us all to love her for it when it is a behavioural trait we mostly all hate in ourselves.

This went on longer than i meant it to - arent you glad i edited the original quote

As has been clearly demonstrated on BB Jade minus booze is not an objectionable person at all to the majority of us - it was drunk Jade that we all hated.

Not really sure where I'm this going with this post, it was triggered by reflecting on my own behaviour last night which I'm still coming to terms with. More drunk then I've been in a long time I ended up storming out of a party at a friend's house in an uncontrollable drunken rage. If a stranger had been unfortunate enough to confront me I could have easily bit their throat and drank their blood without a second thought. (Luckily I made it home without incident).

In general I'm a reasonably well-balanced individual: never been in a fight or commited any kind of violent act, normal parents, normal upbringing etc. However, at the moment I'm a complete wreck after having ostracised myslelf from my erstwhile friends and undermined what little sense of self-worth I had. I can't shake the terrifying memory of actually being the abhorrent individual who was occupying my body last night. And I'm having considerable difficulty coming to terms with the fact that I could easily become that individual again in the space of a couple of booze-fuelled hours.

PS. Turning point for me, just the occasional pint in the pub and a glass of red wine with a meal from now on.

PPS. If my previous posts offended you in any way then may I please add the following disclaimer: vitriol sponsored by Stella Artois.

Well done for posting that chr1sb - im sure all of us know too well the effects alcohol can have on a persons personality. I've seen my sister (who recently died from liver failure, due to alcoholism) turn a knife on her own mother. When she was sober, she was the sweetest person you could wish to meet.

Why do the 'Jade-haters' have a problem with those of us who were slating Jade in the past couple of weeks, but have had a re-think? Do you always hold grudges for the rest of your life? Are our opinions not allowed to change?

Surely, it takes a better person to stand up and say - 'yes, I was wrong' than sticking to your guns regardless?
