Can you help me finding out the Service ID (SID) and Transport Stream ID (TSID) of all channels (Freeview, Top Up TV) broadcast on DVB-T network in the UK.

Is their a website updating regularly this info for each digital transmitter?

My Pace DTVA has a signal information screen (Menu _ Technical Information _ Signal Information) like this:

Sadly, I have upgraded to Windows Vista and the program I use to generate the lists, TSReader Lite will no longer work with the Vista drivers for my TV card.

The only thing I could find was this list from UK DTT Transmitter Information, but it dates back to 2006 (and probably hasn't been updated for a while):

What you all need to do is ditch those Microsoft products, and embrace Linux. You can then use the 'dvbsnoop' utility to give a complex breakdown of all the streams in a given multiplex.

I was just waiting for a Lunux user to come on here and say summin like that!
If you get yourself a TV card (I personally use a winfast usb stick) and get yourself a copy of TSreader it will tell you all this!

I managed to find all the SIDs but the TSIDs (ie the transport Stream IDs):

Example:
Winter Hill: 4168 (Mux 1- BBC), Mux 2 (D3&4) 8203
Moe-Y-Parc: 4222 (mux 1-BBC), Mux 2 (D3&4): 8205

Freeview ONID is always 9018 it would appear.

However, it appears that the TSIDs are the same as BBC1 for the BBC mux, but different for the D3&4 mux)

Does anyone know the TSIDs for the other transmitters?

It would be useful to have a full listing somewhere on the internet, it is incredibly difficult to get up to date information for individual regions.

As far as D3&4 is concerned, you are correct, the SID for ITV isn't the same as the TSID. It is, however, relatively simple to work out. The ITV SID is offset +64 from the TSID. So for Winter Hill, the D3&4 TSID is 8203 and the SID for ITV Granada is 8267 (8203+64).

Note that the SDN and BBC B multiplexes also use regional TSIDs.

I am trying to put together a spreadsheet with all this on now I have a Linux DVB-T/T2 box.

A good plan, it would be nice if you could make the information available to everyone. Perhaps a sticky thread in the Technical section. Thinking about it, you might get more contributions if you start a thread for this in the Technical section.

OK maybe - but can someone clarify - has ITV2 been changed to the SID of Crystal Palace everywhere? The SIDs used to be 64 above ITV but many of them are 8325 - the same as Crystal Palce now. I may have to ask in the Technical section.

I've a listing for Emley Moor from 2008 showing ITV2 on SID 8325, so it appears to have used that SID across the network for quite some time.

BBCB probably does have different TSIDs but SDN I think is now one TSID everywhere. Crystal Palace and Winter Hill appear to be the same for SDN.

Comparing English transmitters for SDN isn't going to tell you much as the 4 regions used by SDN are Wales, England, Scotland & Northern Ireland.

There's no difference in the services carried other than E4 in Wales and True Entertainment / Xpanded TV outside Wales. I have no idea whether or not SDN dismantled the regional structure in Scotland and Northern Ireland to reflect this. Maybe forum members in Scotland and Northern Ireland will post their SDN TSIDs to confirm the current situation.

The English one is 12294 for SDN

12293 Wales
12294 England
12295 Scotland
12296 Northern Ireland

I have no way of checking whether or not 12295 and 12296 are still used.

A correction to the above:

TSID 12293 is for Scotland and TSID 12295 is for Wales, the data seems to have been transposed at some point. All 4 regions of SDN are still active but as stated previously, England, Scotland & Northern Ireland all carry the same channels.

Also, the Arqiva multiplexes A, B, C & D each have unique TSIDs in Northern Ireland, offset +1 from the standard GB TSID numbers.

Thanks for that. What is the TSID of RNI1_Minimux (the one with RTE on it in Northern Ireland and what are the SIDs for all the channels on that mux?

The TSID is 28673, I don't know the SIDs but the allocation range for that mux is 28672 to 32767. Maybe someone in Northern Ireland can help with the SIDs?
