Hi everyone Im new here so hope i dont offend with my first post!!

my thoughts on saturday!

i just want to send my congratulations/commiserations to Fiona and Brendan for their performances on strictly come dancing. It has made my saturdays for the last four weeks.

They were both my favorite from the start, and you really didnt deserve to go this week, and to be honest it literally broke my heart to see how gutted you both were.

I voted so many times for you both I think i broke the redial button on my phone, and i know so many people who voted exactly the same. I simply cant understand how they went out! It really is unfair! and they had improved so much from the start! I wish they could have one more week in their, to improve even more. I hope that you do get to see this because your courage putting up with the judges every week was amazing, and even though you and brendan had your problems, you made a very good couple despite all the negative attention you both did so well.

Please pass on my congratulatuions to him if anyone manages to meet him in the future and hoping he gets a better partner next year,

The show will be most definatly be lacking something without fiona and brendan in there and dont think i can watch it next week without feeling that they both should have been there at least for the next two weeks. I could see how gutted brendan and fiona were!! that damm dress, she caught her foot in it and it threw her off she started so well! dennis and izabela were shockingly bad!! and so should have gone fiona and brendan are so much more entertaining and i thought to be honest that is what saturday night tv is all about!! wtf is wrong with voting people!?? I am so annoyed and upset, and it literally (i know how sad this next statement is going to be) upset me all weekend!! i was livid! I wanted to know who got the highest viewer votes, i am getting increasingly annoyed with the way these reality shows work!!

Brendan who is amazing too and has to put up with a lot of negative press the last few weeks, I felt for them both that night. He actually turned a corner and so did fiona with the dancing! what the heck is wrong with the british public!!?? I dont think ill be watching the rest of the series, in a couple of weeks when things were getting serious i could understand it, but with people like dennis and bill still there, it makes no sense what so ever! and i am going to get slaughtered for this opinion!! but i really am that annoyed!!

What is wrong is that in week one, when she danced awfully, the british public kept her in. This week, when Dennis danced awfully the british public did the same to him. It called sexual equality. Or, perhaps I mean divine intervention

Hi..can't agree about Fiona..but welcome to the forums!

Personally i couldnt see the improvement from that and the waltz in the first week. I think it was more her attitude that got her knocked out this week, she just didnt seem to be enjoying it, Dennis was equally bad but at least he went out there and at gave it his all and looked like he was having fun. Fiona looked like someone was extracting teeth the whole time (why she even entered into the show is beyond me). Also her glee at Dennis being below her in the scores was very uncomfortable to watch, she said it like 3 or 4 times. Also in the videos of the celebs giving reasons why they didnt want to leave the competition, Fiona gave a very half-arsed "oh yeah I dont want to go and brendan wont be happy" or something like that..the others all said they'd be gutted and they looked like they meant it.

You're OK musicangel. If you get therapy in time I am sure you will be watching with us all next Saturday. If not, hey, theres always the X Factor.

Devine intervention i like that!! and irish voting i think too! i think im reminded of the farce that is eurovision!!?

The reason i voted for them was from week to week and on itt!? they were by far the most entertaining and will be sorley missed!! for the humour and the way they coped with all the negative press!

I love an underdog! i just wanted fiona to get a bit better! so she would have acomplished somethign! i ironically think one more week she would have done a lot better!!
i really am gutted about it! and to hear the people dont like brendan isnt really fair as no one knows him, granted he may be a dipstick at some points, but from the footage i have seen of them all! they all get told off by the pros a lot of the time! they just show brendan more than others! which puts him in a really bad light!

LMAO! On saturday night after several glasses of wine to get over the shock! i then had damm knightmares about scd!! lol! i couldnt believe it!! how does a damm reality show get under your skin so much!!??? The x factor is worse if thats possible! the judges are so far up there own you know whats!? its a joke!

btw my theraphy session is booked for thursday!!

I know this sounds really awful but I just couldn't STAND Brendan and Fiona. It's a DANCE competition and I'm sorry but she really could not dance. I think Arlene was wrong when she said she didnt have the dedication but Criag was right in saying she did have the dedication but not the ability. I watch SCD to watch people dance and even though Fiona was improving a little I just didn't enjoy her dancing. Also another thing that annoyed me about her was that she never stood up for herself, she just stood there and let the judges say bad things about her week after week and she just kept going 'I know, I know' have a bit of pride woman. Also (I know I'm going to get slapped for saying this lol) but I think Brendan has a big attitude problem. He's a fabulous dancer and no one can take that away from him but he needs to get his attitude sorted out. I think with Brendan and Fiona you either loved them or hated them and I for one was cheering with delight on Saturday when they got given the boot!

i think coming back and trying after the hammering she recieved deserves some recognition!? i for one couldnt have done what she did! if someone kept telling me i was crap i would have no motivation to say hang on i can do this!!?

Brendans attitude came out on Saturday when he said in the VT that he could arrange a routine to suit her but he wanted to dance not "ponce around the floor"
Other professionals have had to arrange routines around the ability of their partner but he just wants to show off his own ability (which is undeniable no doubt). Very arrogant if you ask me. He got lucky with Natasha in the first series, and I think Sarah could have been a better partner for him if he hadnt slagged her off on national telly for her to switch on her tv and see (very unprofessional and plain nasty) their relationship went downhill from there.

I think as Im a celeb and big brother, and all the other reality shows come across, they ALWAYS highlight the negatives, id like to sit through the footage of all the practice sessions, and then get a true picture not the thirty seconds of them having a disagreement! If you think about it how many papers or tv shows get ratings on ' i love my partner'!! come on! id be bored to tears!!

In the end he did the simple routine to make fiona more comfortable! anyu competative person when they leave is obviously going to be gutted otherwise whats the point of doing it in the first place!? you could see how much it meant to them this morning when fiona was talking about how awful the judges were to her esp arleen for saying she never tried!, and the press being hypocrites to brendan was said the other day i think!?

we only have to look at the routines that darren did with Gloria very simple and within Gloria's capabilities he never thought of himself. Karen Hardy's routine ideal for Bill. Brendans routines totally beyond Fiona and made her look worse than she was

but the judges have been shite to alot of people, i mean poor Diarmuid last year got hammered week after week but he got on with it and still tried hsi hardest, all we heard from Fiona was "i cant do it, i cant" and when they were giving her critiques she just kept saying "i know, i know"..

When you have none to begin with and then someone tells you you really cant! then apart froma miracle how heck are you going to say im going ignore all the pros and i can! its a miracle the last week when she actually had some confidence!

EVeryone teaches differently, half the women dancers are called erins whiplash or somat and so is camilla and so is izabella! and they have made some nasty comments too!

Totally agree bendymixer, re Darren B and Karen - they are both fabulous dancers, who personally I rate far higher than Brendan, but they built routines around what their partners could/can do to show the celebrities off in the best light, not themselves! Whole different approach and attitude, which I think most dance teachers would feel makes them far better teachers. I am sure they are/were both frustrated at times with what their partners could do, but it didnt affect the way they treated their partners either, on the contrary they seemed to be intent on buildilng confidence, not destroying it, which again, in my opinion, makes them far better teachers!

Thing is, someone has to leave every week. Thats the format. However much you love or hate a couple, unless they get to the final three they are going to have to go at some point. She couldn't dance and she survived to the fourth week and we lost arguably better dancers as a result.

Perhaps she improved, perhaps she didn't. All of them have improved somewhat. She is not deserving of any extra 'give her another chance' sympathy over anyone else there.

IMO she did very well; she beat my original odds by a three week mile!

well that was Brendans failing in my opinion. Nearly all the celebs have been knocked down but its their partners job to build them up. He failed to do this, I mean why a lift in the first week, theyre illegal, and he knows it.

Im pretty sure ive seen some more illegal lifts, and judges aint mentioned it!!?

he did try and build her back up! but it aint that easy! when you go in trying to be positive and get met with so much resistance what do most people do after trying thirty times! is maybe lose there temper! as i would prob too! we are all human! i remember the week they did the jive! fair comment it was bad! but brendans face when she pulled it off! and picked her up and their body language he was so happy and proud of her!

no one has mentioned camilla storming off backstage and leaving james to face the cameras on his own last week! making him feel horrible for his performance!? or did i imagine that!?

She stormed off because of the judges comments, not because of what she thought of James' dancing.

i agree, it's a pity it happened just as she seemed to be getting into it a bit (ok, i'm basing that on one interview in one tabloid and she was never going to be brilliant but anyway..), but hey..it's a competition, and as has been said, they probably should have gone out earlier

Ive said this on other threads I know as an Anton fan I might sound biased but I really cant see what the fuss about Darren is Colin is doing really well and Patsy but they get less publicity

Every series the judges have the favorties, in the first it was obviously natasha and brendan, last year obviously jill and darren, now i think its def zoe and ian and darren and lillia!




Thanks for the welcome! just feel someone has to stick up for him! he gets rotten press, and what i have heard about people when they meet him! is that he is lovely to talk to! and will answer anythin!

I just feel that people take his personaility into account rather than his dancing and that shouldnt be the case!!

I watched them on itt last night! and of course they had to show brendan getting upset! he actually explained why! because for first time in weeks they actually did better and improved, he said he understood if he went out in the other weeks when they were bottom but it was a shock and he was gutted, because he always knew she could improve even though every one else wrote her off!!
