And thats what he said too! But out of all the series i dont even think diarmon (sorry about the spelling) or chris parker! got as bad as they got for first show!!
but they deserved it, they were truly awful and then he did the lift for no reason. I know you have said that other couples have done lifts but personally I havent seen any of them, and there are very strict rules in what constitutes a "lift". That lift was blatant and unnecessary, and it was done really badly too because of her posture. I cant remember the first shows of the other series but Chris and Diarmuid got battered week after week by the judges too, so Fiona isnt alone and her feeling sorry for herslef really got on my nerves, and the publics too judging by the voting.
but she didnt give up she kept trying! and saying they wanted to shake her! made her feel worse! when you put som much time and effort into something adn cant yourself feel any improvement! i cant imagine how soul destroying it must be for themselves and their partner! and finally last week she turned a corner!
To be honest, she proved she was capable of much better on Saturday which is why they probably wanted to shake her. They knew she could do better and all she kept saying was "I'm crap, and I can't" no wonder they wanted to shake her. One has to wonder why she even went on the bloody show to begin with. I mean she can hardly claim she didnt think it would be that hard, its in its 3rd series. You saw a few minutes of them saying theyw anted to shake her but what about all the constant support she got from the other celebs, all the pro-fiona stuff on ITT. It was actually quite biased against the other dancers at one point, so you cant honestly say that she didnt have enough support.
And besides, Fiona has enough to say about others on GMTV and in her Mirror column so it is abit of a case of "if you cant take it, dont dish it out"

Perhaps I'm not the best person to comment on this thread, 'cos I'm not that keen on either Brendan or Fiona 
but hey ho, just a few random thoughts:
Fiona kept banging on about doing the show/her job/being a mum - well join the club duck!
Yes, I know you get up early for work but so does my mate and she has 2 kids and a house to run too. Sadly, her hubby isn't rolling in money, so they have to do a lot of juggling - as do most people.
The poor little me act was wearing a smidge thin, as was having all the GMTV crew on to reinforce what a hero she was!
Brendon kept wearing his 'passion' like a badge of honour - like it excused all his bad behaviour - no Brendon to me you're just a sulky, spoilt child! As for not adapting his routine to Fiona and her abilities that was mean - we all know that the professional dancers are fantastic at what they do - and if we were in any doubt then then there is always the spotlight session - and possibly if Fiona had had a routine she felt more comfortable with then her performance would have been better (I always thought that one of the main jobs for a male dancer was to show his partner off and make her look good?)
I think the reason they went out on Saturday was because they weren't the bottom and she had shown some improvement - the fun factor for keeping them in had gone!
Who knows, if Sibohan had stayed in the first week (when Fiona and Brendon were the worst by a country mile) then she could have conquered her nerved and improved too ... but that's the thing with these knockout competitions whose to know how a different result could have changed things!

not anything against sibohan! i think fiona has more on screen personality! she never looked comfortable even watching her on screen on the tv show my family!

Someone else has been analysing Mr Cole's behaviour without rose-tinted specs..................I agree. He has the bad press cos that nasty stuff just keeps coming out of his mouth, first in series 2 and now series 3. It definitely is all about 'The Cole' as far as he is concerned. I disagree that the other pros get 'stuck in' in the same way......... they do not make it personal. But just look at the attention he gets on this forum........

honestly though, can you imagine being sarah and turning on the telly to see him saying "sarah let herself down blah blah blah" i mean how cruel and unprofessional can you be?! I mean everyone talks about poor fiona and how mean the judges were to her but that was sarahs partner who was laying into here when she wasnt even there to defend herself.

Yes. And it's also not strictly true that it's only Brendan's bad bits that are selectively edited. Last year I remember Jill had an issue when Darren kept comparing her method of dancing to the movement of different animals and they showed her mentioning it to him in rehearsals and he stopped after that. Darren didn't use the showing of that clip as an excuse to thereafter adopt a bad boy image.

Poor Brendan - that's 2 of us indifferent to him!
I think, in a way the worst thing for him was to be the winner of the first series 'cos he feels that anything other than that is a failure, even if you have got the best out of your 2-left feet partner and made them as good as they can be.
I also think he seems to be quite a controlling kinda guy and I think he was lucky in series 1 that Natasha was so malleable - he dosen't seem to know how to cope with partners who have a bit of their own mind - like Sarah last year.
Sarah got on my nerves last year. She was asking him to pick to her up and swing her around when they first met. She said it was his job to follow her around. I think she was suffering because he didn't fancy her and fall at her feet.
I think darren was same this year! he was gutted to go out!! and to be in the bottom two the week before! not to be horrible maybe he knows what it feels like now! to win once and then get booted off early next year!! lol
I think Darren was relieved to be out. No offence to Gloria but it was a definite change from last years Jill
I shouldn't think for a minute that Darren thought he'd win this year when he knew who his partner was to be - in fact he probably thought he'd have been out sooner than he was, but he was good with Gloria and altered his teaching and natural dancing style to accomodate her.
Personally, I'm glad to see the back of Fiona. She should NEVER have entered the competition. She was always previously moaning about trying to have it all - career, kids, marriage, blah, blah. She used to complain on GMTV and in her column that she has no time for her husband or kids due to her job and then she goes and enters something as demanding as "Strictly"!!! Silly woman! Interestingly, on Monday night she said that since she's left the show, she really missed the rehearsals with Brendan. She said that she would normally finish GMTV and then go off to meet Brendan at 10am. It got me thinking that she's obviously got the rest of the day to herself as her children are at school, so what has she got to moan about?? Yes, she's up at the crack of dawn but after 10am her time's her own til her kids finish school - a doddle!! Strictly has not been a positive experience for her as she's been publicly humiliated and spent half the time crying - serves her right and good riddance! I love Brendan because he is such a brilliant dancer - albeit an arrogant one and a complete show-off - but I hope we'll still see him performing with the professional dancers on the show.

cos that's him, he likes to be noticed/make a statement/cause some controversy. I bet he just loves all the press he's getting whatever kind it may be. Let's face it just won't be as entertaining without his carry-on !!!!!Even the girl with the clip board seemed stunned yesterday. Before he noticed the cameras, 'don't worry come in............' Naked guy, bad reputation, why should that be an issue ? I'm sure he just can't help himself !!!!!
I think Len, the judge; sorry, can't remember his surname, summed it up very well tonight on ITT, when he said that a large part of the performance was a combination of the pro's adapting their teaching style & choreography to the abilities of the celeb's. Basically, a lot of it is down to trying to show them in their best light & giving them a belief in their ability to do the routine.
Much as I'm not that keen on Brendan, I do think he was up against a brick wall of a problem with Fiona, in that even at her best; i.e. Saturday night, the moment she made the slightest mistake, all of her confidence disappeared & she just seemed to hang on to him for dear life afterwards.
Fiona entered the competition with a belief that she has never been able to dance & nothing seems to have made her change that opinion of herself. No amount of shouting, provoking or even subtle confidence boosting is ever going to make someone believe in themself if they ust don't want to.

I agree with you in that i think the show wont be half as entertaining without the fiona and brendan saga!!? it really made me smile!! because no matter what happened on the during the week on saturday, he tried his very best to get her to believe in herself! sure hes arrogant!! but anyone who had experienced any moment of the ballroom/dancing world! no that a majority of the professionals are extremely arrogant!! because they need to be! its weird they have singled brendan out! john burns from first series was v arrogant if i remember rightly! and so was paul killick, and in some way anton is too!!
